Let me know in the comments when was the last time you cleaned your oven? I'll go first...it has been at least a year since I deep cleaned my oven and it really shows 😳
This is exactly what I needed. I wanted to see how well it worked on a moderately dirty oven within that 1 hour 15 minute timeframe. It definitely removed more than I expected but a full 24 hours would've looked much better and been less elbow grease! Thanks for trying this out and posting this video. Very helpful.
You’re welcome! I’m happy my video was helpful. I was pleasantly surprised how well Easy Off worked especially without the use of heat. The cold method is a lot quicker and I didn’t have to heat up the house with the self cleaning cycle. Thank you for watching.
Your oven cleaned up nicely compared to the before pics. You could have gotten the rest of those baked-on spots off very easily with a flat razor blade! Just gently scrape the glass on the door as well as the metal on the door and any spots inside the walls of the oven, and you'll be amazed at how well it cleans off the baked on stuff that the spray didn't remove! It's a game changer, and if you do it right, you won't scratch the glass or oven at all. Give it a try the next time you clean your oven, and you'll marvel at the results and the huge difference it makes! :)
I’ m pretty impressed how well it worked especially in a cold oven. I’m going to try the overnight directions to try and get the last bit of baked on mess cleaned off. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for getting right to the darn punch. Too many videos before yours kept talking and blah blah for like 10 min I had to sit through 🙄😒 Thank you for a to-the-point , comprehensive tutorial.
Thank you for showing this. I am moving into an apartment and the oven has burnt food on the racks and oven. I told the landlord that I needed it clean. He says he will do it, but I realize he isn't going to. I want to try this fume free product. I am going to do the 24 hour version. Thanks for showing that we can use it on the glass too, I was wondering about that. Thank you for sharing!😊
Thank you! I was very happy with the results using no heat. Next time, I’m going to try letting the oven cleaner sit overnight to help tackle really tough messes.
I usually only clean mine in winter to take advantage of the heat! But this is a great option… I like that it takes less than 4 HOURS!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the video! I have the exact same oven 😂 the steam clean option is ok for weekly cleaning but I definitely need something for heavier grease and bi-yearly cleaning. Appreciate ya!
I clean my oven at least once annually. I have used Easy Off for years on electric ovens, but recently moved and was unsure if Easy Off is safe for gas ovens. Glad to see it is. I definitely recommend using the 24 hour method with Easy Off, you still have to put in some elbow grease but not nearly as much as the 1.25 hour method seemed to take.
I was a bit nervous using Easy Off in my gas oven since it was the first time using it but I was glad to find out it can be used in gas ovens. I’ll have to try using the 24 hour method especially when my oven hasn’t been cleaned in so long. Thanks for watching.
I got the same results as you did after my 1st round of cleaning & was a bit disappointed that it didnt come out as clean as I hoped it would. My oven hadn't been cleaned for a long time so that's probably the reason why it didnt come clean after just one spray. So after watching your video, I sprayed it again this morning and actually sprayed the top of the oven. I also sprayed the sides and door for the second time. The bottom came clean the first time so I skipped that part. I actually covered the vents bc in the manual it says (to cover the vents while cleaning out the interior of the oven) I also used towels to cover the bottom and floor (which I didnt do the first time around). Tip: I actually used a putty knife to clean the glass. I gently scrubbed the greased and grime off the glass and it came out really clean. I am definitely going to try the vinegar and water method once I'm done. Thank You for posting your video. I was a bit embarrassed to post my before picture bc of how dirty my oven was.
Thanks for the honest review Michelle! If that were me though I would be very disappointed with Easy off...honestly warm soapy water would have been just as good..or better...really a waste of money and time
How do you get inside the little pocket holes on the side on the inside of the oven? My kid dropped some food in there and I don’t know how to reach it
Please lmk where to point the spray nozzle if there's no black dot on the can. I wasn't able to get thru using the phone # on the can to ask the Easy Off people.
I learned you can use a straight edge razor blade to get the baked on grease off the glass. Mine came off completely. Glass only for that method, and it was after I did the Easy Off.
Ive used both kinds of sprays according to directions and got the same results as you did . You would think according to what can says the results would be better .probably best idea is to clean iven from get go monthly
Cleaning monthly is a great idea. I’m trying my best to keep on top of the oven cleaning to avoid the greasy disaster I previously had inside the oven.
Maybe you could cover it with painter’s tape and spray with the tape on. Also one video showed that she sprayed the product onto a rag and then wiped the area near the element.
I live alone and My 2 year old GE electric oven needs to be cleaned & I had brought the yellow heavy duty can & my question is do I necessarily have to preheat the oven before spraying inside the oven?
No, but heat causes the product to activate quickly which I find helpful. Typically, I preheat... allow the oven to cool down 5 minutes, apply product and wipe with a old damp cloth (rinse and repeat) followed by a little soap (Dawn) water wipe down (helps remove any product residual) and it's good to go. If I have additional time; it will sit for 24 hours prior to cleaning. Hopefully, that helps!
Leave the spray on for at least 2 hours and use a razor to scrape off the baked on residue left behind. It literally takes 1 minute to scrape the leftover grease off the glass.
Hahaha yes, it would be a lot easy to replace. I haven’t deep cleaned the oven before and it was tough getting to all the areas especially wiping down the back of the oven.
Okay hear me out. I let it sit for 24hrs. Without wiping after the first 24 hrs. I layered with another coat and let that sit for another 24… maybe longer to be honest and when I finally did wipe it off. Everything came up easily. You may just need to allow it to set a little longer.
I had to really scrub to get the stubborn burnt on messes off after two applications using the 1 hour 15 minute method. Some of the burnt on mess was really tough. Have you tried the overnight method?
I was able to clean the microfibre. As much as I prefer to use microfibre and reusable cloths, next time I’m going to use paper towel because of all the very messy dirt and grease in the oven.
😳😳😳 Why would you let your oven get that dirty to begin with. I wipe mine down at least once a month and if anything comes out while baking it gets cleaned immediately so it's not baked on like cement.
For really tough messes it will be a good idea to leave it overnight. I was able to get the oven clean but it did take a lot of elbow grease. Thanks for watching.
