Waste of money. Carbon fiber is just a checker pattern. Who cares that it is used by NASA when the cars will not be going into orbit? I would still get it on the interior as it is a very nice checker pattern and I am close enough to see it. You need to get very close to see it on the outside and it is completely unnoticeable from 20 feet away. Better ways to spend on upgrades. IMO...
Most people might pick and choose from a few of those options. I was just curious what they all costed together since carbon fiber is so expensive. No way I'd be buying even half of those though.
You may not choose to $6,500 is too much for a spoiler or not worth it, so I'll say it for you. Haha $6500 is too much for a high wing spoiler. Worth it? It may be in the future, but I still doubt it.
I don't understand paying that kind of money for the base model. I don't know if GM is trying to make up for lost money or what. Again this is the base model Corvette and paying $95,000.00 for it is crazy. You have to get the car butt naked with no extras to be a reasonable price for a base model. Hell they can't get the E-Ray or Z06 out. Imagine the price for those cars. It just infuriates me that GM is charging so much to add to your car to make it more exciting. Mid engine or not, I will stick with my C7 Grand Sport. $23,000.00 for carbon fiber. Are you buying a Corvette or a Lamborghini. I love the Vette but I hate GM ways of doing customers and loyal Vette lovers wrong. Anyway I wish you the best in whatever you decide for your future Vette. Goodluck brother.
Racing Sport Concepts offers a ton of these C8 carbon fiber parts for a lot less ( I have their front splitter on my C8 Corvette)... Just one example their carbon fiber high wing spoiler is $1895 vs $6495 from the factory! Thats crazy and would save you over $4,600 (for more or other carbon fiber parts) lol
@Cars,Cost&Technology Thx for that info! HP Obsessed uses ACS Composites for his aftermarket CF parts. Maybe do a video on the different aftermarket CF manufacturers? Thanks sir God bless
Thanks 👍🏻 I'm familiar with ACS Composites. I've never used one of their products, but I've heard really good things about them. I'm sure it's pretty comparable to OEM quality. It would be very expensive to stress test different types of carbon fiber (especially OEM kits), but I'd love to look at some samples. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for great info again. No nonsense videos are great. Are you thinking of another C8 while waiting for a ZO6 which looks like another 18 months before we get them.
