Finland provides housing for people for free. In the US alot of homeless don't accept housing as they have to go to rehab if they are alcoholics or abuse drugs. And those items are prohibited.
@@superj2644 There are low barrier shelters and housing pilot programs like by EQC that are state-sponsored and allow alcoholics and illicit drug abuse. I wish the news would do more investigative reporting and inform more than excite people. Unless a person goes looking for these programs, few people are aware of them. The more people who are aware and can recommend resources to people they see in need, the more could be helped.
@@superj2644 I am sure the Finns have had many challenges as we do nationwide. The Finnish society has a different culture and a more homogenous population, but the last time I saw a documentary, I noticed that they had similar drug and alcohol issues. I do not know enough about homelessness in US, I believe we should treat drugs as a disease and not a crime and use the savings to properly treat people who could benefit from the medical treatment. But, how do we help people who do not want any changes? Especially, when they are suffering from mental disorders, trauma...
He doesn't understand why they live like that for years. He's thinking just build tiny home villages for the homeless druggies and all will be well He's not going to open his own home because he knows the truth
55 people housed, good job. Why can't LIHI tiny home villages find housing for people who are in one place, easy to access and connect to services. Why do some people have to live like that for years and ultimately never get connected to services. Yes, working poor are homeless, wind up at the tiny home villages and leave when they fail to get any support or even wifi access.
55 people how much money do you think the taxpayers have. Maybe get your druggje worthless self and get off the drugs. How much money do you think it cost to house 55 people. Oh just build tiny home village where the druggjes just stay on drugs.
