One difference I just realised is that conveyor filters and sensors are locked behind space science in the dlc so you can’t have a temp sensor on a rail until you have that.

@@seanhunter111 I found that with piping & valves, you could really dial-in the amount of heat needed. But now, there is a solid metered valve in late game which lets you send less than 20KG of solid per packet.

@@greezyhammer764 Yeah I think this really simplifies melting tungsten just make a diamond tank with a magma pump full of superheated liquid sucrose, have a tungsten tank that sucks the heat out. With some liquid pipe thermal sensors to make sure you don't melt the diamond. Seems pretty simple. And the sucrose melting point is 186 degrees so literally a steel aquatuner can melt it. The tricky part is now just understanding those flaking mechanics to get the abyssalite to melt without having to heat it up normally.

I've seen cases where liquid could sometimes get deleted if it doesn't have room to go to the side. With 1 tile, petrol should get pushed up. But with 2 vents dropping water at the same time, petrol might also get deleted.

@@greezyhammer764 Why did you take petroleum for your liquid lock and not naphta? are there differences that I am too dumb to understand?

​@@DB-ft4cp Naphtha doesn't flow very well sideways. Petroleum or oil will easily move out of the way of water drop, and then flow back as water evaporates to steam.

Turbine outputs 2KG/s. So 2 x 1KG pipes will go through hydrogen that's at 125C. Water in pipes will heat-up above 100C. But at 1KG, pipes will not burst with steam.

@@greezyhammer764 I watched all of your vids so I do understand the 1kg pipe trick. What I meant was, turbine outputs 2kg of water if you used 1 valve set at 1kg the leftover water that doesn't go to the valve will be 1kg as well. So you can use just 1 valve to achieve the same result.

@@zorenlomayno2111 its a failsafe. 2 valves will ensure that the both pipes will never have more than 1kg packets. if for whatever reason the line should ever temporarily back up, you'd have quite a mess on your hands.
