Plants breathe oxygen for other metabolic functions. During the day photosynthesis cancel out what they breathe but in an atmosphere without oxygen they wouldn't last :/

Since the joust didn’t work, why don’t you try making a Martian net to hold over your rover. Like have the pistons pointed straight up with the claws on the end. Because they seem to have a height limit

@@xenn4985 I think he's talking about instruments of destruction, but I'm not too sure. Both games are different as one is about destroying and this one is about transport. It's also very similar to trailmakers, which is more of a sandbox game.

Imagine the perspective from that worker. The rover just slowly extending it's rod behind you and it suddenly backs away when you notice it. Worker: "what?" Rover: "what...!?"

Regarding realism: Mars' atmosphere is so thin that the steam/smoke from the steel mill would not rise like that. Instead it would immediately spread out a LOT and probably just look like a haze over the building, if it's visible at all. Edit: typo

Due to the atmosphere pressure, the oranges would likely explosively boil all the water put of them once exposed. Potatoes would also act like small explosives on mars.

Great thinking with the finger to raise the beam. Simple, but effective. As all engineering should be. If it ever makes it to PlayStation (since my laptop is just a step above potato), I may give it a go. I love designing vehicles. Especially with cool gizmos and gadgets to do fun things. Like making a hand, to become a roaming high-five machine!

Try playing trailmakers. RCE played it a while back and it ha a very similar premise. Only difference is that its a sandbox game rather than puzzles.

1 Star; My watering can was not just dinged up, but all the water was spilled out. 1 Star; We got our oranges but the rover driver was obviously drunk, nearly ran us over multiple times. And I'm pretty sure he tried to "probe" me. 1 Star; We got our pillar but looked like it had been dragged the entire way 1 Star; Why isn't there a - button or at least a 0? Our mirror arrived covered in dust and in 57 pieces! Will not use this rover service again!

@6:00 the oranges won't die becuse the lack of oxygen, they don't need oxygen to survive. The orange would simply freeze to solid due to atmosphere pressure and temperature difference. Haven't you seen Martian?

FYI for anyone really wanting to know the ins-and-outs of moon or Martian drones, there is a woman with a big hat called Katy Levinson who gave a couple of (very drunk!) presentations at hacker conferences who goes into the real nitty gritty. Things like moon ones would have a MASSIVE temperature change going from a lit area to a area permanently in shadow. You'd need to overclock the CPU in the thing just to keep it alive! And the moons surface is kinda briney in places, not soft dust but a sharper kind that jams up tracks and the like. I think it was a defcon conference, and a blackhat conference that she did. Such a shame her project was cancelled 😐
