We had the same problem last week. We brought a manure into our garden and could not get out. And it was not even our van we had it borrowed. Luckily our neighbours seen us strangling and 2 tractors came to our rescue.

You are a wonderful couple, we love what you are doing and trying to achieve, a huge respect. Due to the bigger rear tyres than standard the aspect ratio changes and you lose torque, all gears are now geared 'longer'. Next time let the pressure down in the tyres to ~ 1 BAR, this widenths the footprint of the tyre and increases grip, but you have to drive slowly and get them pressured up before using them on the road again. Greetings from the Netherlands, we will be moving to Portugal as soon as possible.

Looks like you need to modify your truck bed with some wheel wells. Then you can actually load up the back. Would help with extra traction too. I had a good laugh watching this unfold. 😂

a basic sack barrow would have help too take the wood to the van ;then you put a post at an angle lent against the van then push the wood up the post a lot easier...Ive done this at home no chance of hirting your back

Perhaps you can get a winch (mechanical or hand) for the truck. And new heavy duty shocks might help too. It would at least save your back getting big ol logs and stuff up to the truck. Not inexpensive solutions I realize that. You both ROCK!

Sometimes it's much better to be alone in the driving...a pair of old tires of wrong dimensions doesn't make it any better if it's a rougher pattern. Now it is more or less useless...

You have an open rear diff, which means all the power will go to one wheel. You can transfer some drive to the other rear wheel by dragging the rear brake slightly. Might want to look into a diff diff 😃

Well done. Please be careful with lifting those heavy logs. I broke two vertebree by lifting somthing weig lighter. Migjt be advizeble that you both west a back strap or corset when lifting heavy things

If you had a winch youcould drag those things behind the truck you wouldn't have gotten stuck at the second-tier. Physics is real, low gravity would have solved your problem at the second-tier.❤

That pickup is not going to do the job. I would look at a 4-wheeler with a dump bed. I don't know what they cost in Portugal, but you will get a lot of use out of it and eliminate a bunch of frustration. Your pickup rellay looks like its past its prime.......................

We had a pick up like urs. My grandad uprated the spring leafs in a garage to improve the clearance. It's worth asking around in your garage you end up being able to carry more weight. Miss my Datsun

I'd like a small tractor too but they are too expensive. If you need it for more than accessing your land with a trailer then you'll probably have to get a tractor. However if it's just for accessing with a trailer then I'd recommend an old Suzuki Sierra with off road tyres and a trailer. You could sell your Nissan and use the Sierra for your trips into town with our without trailer.

Use a ramp to lift the heavy load. That’s how the pyramids got built!

You need second gear and low revs to get out of a slippery mess, whether snow or mud.

cut up a 6 foot steel scaffold pole into about 2 foot lengths. Perfect for rollers
