✅ Welcome to the official RU-vid channel of Quitting Together, a place dedicated to those of us on a journey to recovery, especially from marijuana addiction.
This channel is not about demonizing marijuana; in fact, I acknowledge and support the right to choose. Marijuana can have positive impacts, as it did in my life for a long time. But, like many, I reached a point where it started to take more than it gave. If you find yourself in a similar situation, where marijuana has begun to overshadow other aspects of your life, I invite you to join me on this path to recovery.
➡️ Here, you'll find content that tracks my personal journey from day one of sobriety. This channel aims to provide a supportive community for those who are looking to break free from what is often considered a "non-addictive" substance, yet find it challenging to let go of. Each video is a step in the ongoing process of overcoming addiction and rediscovering the joys of a life not dependent on marijuana.
Whether you're newly sober, considering sobriety, or have been on this path for a while, there's something here for you. I share not only my experiences and challenges but also invite guests to discuss various aspects of addiction, recovery, and mental health. From professional insights to personal stories, each video is an opportunity to learn, grow, and find support.
🎬 Subscribe and never miss a video. Hit the bell (🔔) for notifications on new uploads as we embark on this journey together. This is a safe space for healing, learning, and growing. Let's navigate the path of recovery as a united community.

This channel has been huge for me! My weed consumption was only known to close friends so when struggling I feel too ashamed to tell people I work with and others that i spend time with so I have felt quite alone. I can’t believe the transition from 10 days ago for you Aaron, your positivity and passion is shining through and as I start day 10 I’m grateful for your channel and honesty! I started smoking at 15, I had 3 months off in 2019 but other than that this maybe the second longest stint sober, I’m 37! I feel so much happier and so nice to make decisions on what I want to do rather than weed making that decision for me

Thank you so much for this encouragement! I’m very quickly, realizing that way more people are trying to break free from this addiction then admit it. And yes, my wife and I watched the first video. I posted on day one and already I’m able to see a drastic change from the outside from watching the videos. I have tried to quit so many times and failed. It always drags me back because it’s like a best friend that keeps wanting to hang out with you and you have to create an excuse as to why you’re not going to hang out with them, but you really want to hang out with them. That goes against our natural instinct. You are just a few years older than me and a few days ahead of me on this recovery journey. I really look forward to hearing more about your journey in the future. Thanks again for being here and I’m so proud of you for taking this step. You’re not alone.

Good work! You helped me a lot already. Looking forward for the Interviews. A friend of mine quit alcohol, in part because of my sobriety. So many people are struggling with addiction.

First, thank you so much for your encouragement. I’m really looking forward to them as well. I think it will provide a lot of needed insight to me. That’s so encouraging to hear about your friend. Are they doing OK? I know alcohol withdrawal can sometimes be very difficult. but it’s incredible that your decision to quit may have changed someone else’s life already. I’m really proud of you.

You have helped me to not feel alone in this. I have been trying to quit for good for almost two years and my main issue is that I tend to isolate. Looking forward to the road ahead.

Not being alone is the key to recovery. The opposite of addiction is community. It’s why AA works so well for people. I’m so glad you’re here and taking this step.

over a week baby! Lets keep it up. Weed just made me feel content being bored, which was not productive or healthy for me

@@Quittingtogether I’ve been trying for like two years man but really been impossible to avoid now but it’s a good thing my body completely rejects it now and my will is unbroken. I’m on day 4 now One thing that has helped me a lot is reading about stoicism. The writing of Marcus Aurelius has been really valuable … one quote that has really stuck with me is this: “How easy it is to repel and to wipe away every impression that is troublesome or unsuitable and immediately be in all tranquility” Thanks for responding I feel less alone!! I just need to keep my head on straight it’s just been a difficult few years for me to say the least. Onward and upward!!
