Why are German students studying in the corridors? Because they want to learn and Germany makes it possible. Remember, it's not overcrowded, just underfunded.
@mpiana3
@mpiana3 8 лет назад
+David Roberts I think this was really just a one time thing because of 12th and 13th grades graduating at the same time, resulting in 2 times the number of college freshman than usual
@shaz3r786
@shaz3r786 7 лет назад
its only overcrowded because a lot of German universities are free
@brianmi40

@@shaz3r786 - Absolutely not. Did you watch the video? 12th AND 13th grade graduators, AND a relaxed military requirement for boys created a one time impact.

It's ironic since Germany's population is rapidly aging and declining...
@bighands69
@bighands69 9 лет назад
Immigrants is the issue. But Germany's population has not aged that much in the last 50 years. Average life span has increased but not to the levels that would explain a lot of these infrastructure problems.
@TheAdriZam
@TheAdriZam 6 лет назад
But the population is the same as in 1997? and it has grown only 4 million since 1970. UK and France have 7 million more since 2000. The overcrowding is because now more young people choose to study as opposed as before. The work market is tougher and tougher in the current markets. Machines do lots of jobs that non-university degree holders used to do.

@@bighands69 have you actually saw the video ? no more military service -> more students
@bighands69

@@TheAdriZam Both UK and France have been trying multiculturalism for the last 40 years. Both of those countries have had large scale influxes of peoples.
@bighands69
@bighands69 4 года назад
@@MrAhmedUA Germany's population of 15 to 19 has increased by 1 million in last decade. And the exact same has occurred in each youth age group (detailed from OECD). The exact same has occurred in the UK who now have a problem with dealing with the population increase. And there is simply no more room in the tax base to increase infrastructure.

Germany offers free education therefore many other foreign students come to study in Germany such as british students. they pay ridiculously high tuition fees for teaching and the teaching is crap in the UK too.

I cannot speak specially for Hannover but in Dresden I made the experience that early and from week to week more and more underachievers break up with their studies soon and others don't attend every lesson anymore, so that in the end of my studies I was almost alone with the professors in certain subjects.

because alot of people come to study in germany since you nearly pay nothing for it!
@bighands69
@bighands69 9 лет назад
Students from out side Germany either pay the fees them self or their government pays it for them. It is not the german tax payer that is footing this. But the issue Germany has is that its immigrant population has exploded in numbers due to the poor EU countries joining. You cannot blame these people either they are only doing what is natural.

+sebastian momme Although they number of foreign students has increased due to the last years, but the main reason for the higher number of students is, that nowadays way more children make Abitur.

Felicious : Academic standards have fallen quite a bit.
@felicious6384
@felicious6384 7 лет назад
Perhaps a bit, but I think the main reason for more pupils receiving Abitur is, that our society gets more fair and your social heritage doesn't determine your school career anymore. That's why a lot of children from the labour force, which would have gotten a recommendation for the Realschule or Hauptschule 10-20 years ago, now get a recommendation for the Gymnasium. Not because the standards were lowered, but because the teacher reduced their prejudices.

Do they have the requisite foundation in mathematics for the sciences, or do most of them go on to take liberal arts degrees at university? There's always been a big difference in recognition in Germany.

There's a shortage in many professions in Western countries but economics isn't one of them. Rather than fighting for places here, smart students should consider STEM courses instead, less crowded and better job opportunities afterwards.

I can only imagine how entrenched the pc anti white philosophy has become in German universities. In Britain some students have taken to shutting down any debates which questions the politically correct narrative. They have become little ivy clad North Korea where voicing the 'wrong' opinions can get you into serious trouble.

Antalya'da beş yıldızlı otelde hamamda kendine göbek taşı masajı yaptıracak personeli ayağına oda servisiyle bekleyene denmez.
