They key is to nudge it gently bit by bit, treating the skin with Kerasal so the skin starts to exfoliate in a healthy manner and regains flexibility to sit nicely around the nail. (this is not cuticle, this is living skin).
If the skin is particularly stuck then use Kerasal for a week and then try to nudge that skin.

Why am I only learning this now!? I was always told to push and cut the skin off and it was painful and made things worse after a few days. Finally I know why and know how to actually treat my nails properly. Thank you so much. Can't wait to try this method

I’m just now leaving my nails natural after many years of doing the powder dip process. What creams and oils do you suggest to rub into my nails beds daily? I have very thin and peeling nails at this time and need your suggestions. I love you channel and look forward to seeing more from you.

The skin around my nail is not hard but chronically overgrows on nails. Is it okay to push it back with my nail instead of a nail stick? I feel I can control pushing it back better with my opposite thumb nail. I use Sally Hansen cuticle remover first.

What do you do about the hard piece of skin that forms?
@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife Год назад
It will shrink with the use of the urea cream I mentioned. The skin is stretched and it needs some time and care to regain flexibility

i think that my issue with the skin stuck around my nails was that i always ended up cutting it. im going to NOT do that as much as it annoys me and i trust it'll eventually fix itself because everything else im doing correctly

Dumb question how do I get my nails to look like yours when I dont have much if not any cuticle? I would love for my nails to be like yours where 98% of the nail is on the skin, not sticking out. I have been trying to find out ways or tips I could get to have my nails like yours. Thanks 😊

I have a huge problem with getting dried skin right on the outsides of of the nails kind of how your clients tip of the finger was at the beginning. What would be the best way to help get rid of that dryness to make it smooth ? i'm always adding lotion for dry skin but it doesn't seem to help . ):
@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife Год назад
Hi Nicole! Lotion is too light in my opinion. Adding an ointment with urea and something exfoliating like salicylic acid or lactic acid will help too. That’s why I said for my client to use Kerasal. The ointment will help with dryness and callus. I did some manual exfoliation but gentle and consistent chemical exfoliation is better. Kerasal (urea/salicylic acid/glicerin/vaseline) amzn.to/3dy31F7

@@TheSalonLife can this cream be used in the cuticle without the need of pushing back the cuticle? Would the cream remove the cuticle by itself? My husband doesn't like me to touch his cuticles at all. Thank you. Nice video!

You should’ve definitely wet his soaked his hands first because it would it gets painful to push that Skyn back. I can’t believe you’re doing that dry. It hurts so badly when it’s been connected for that long and it’s that high up especially with a wooden stick You should be using one of those tools does made specifically for this that wooden stick is terrible.
@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife 9 месяцев назад
Thank you for your comment. I wouldn’t do anything that would cause the client any pain. The skin was soft and flexible and I was able to do this without any pain. Sometimes the skin is hard and it’s impossible to nudge it back without pain. I show that in some of my videos. The goal is not to separate the skin as far as it will go in this case. Because then you will end up with a flap of skin that it will dry out. Wooden sticks are very gentle actually and highly recommended by experts. One time use only of course as they can’t be sanitized and disinfected
