I've looked at most of the reviews of this product over the past few months. Yours is by far the most complete with excellent video footage illustrating your voiceover description. Thank you for this!
Thank you for this video. You have answered my questions that I never had to ask. I'm going to be getting a Runaway camper in the near future and wanted this type of awning system for it.
Hey Sir, thought I would let you know that we bought the set as you described for our OVS 270. However, they don't offer a larger bag to put the 3 smaller bags into. They had no idea what I was talking about. We got the 3 separate sections, but no large bag. Its not a huge thing, but I liked the idea of the larger bag to keep them together.
Thanks for the info. We purchased ours two years ago. We will reach out to OVS and let them know that people like the idea of the large bag to put the 3 smaller in.
I purchased this awning last month because it keeps selling out quickly - yet I don't have a roof rack. Can you tell me what rack you have this awning mounted to? I also have a Jeep, and while OVS states that their awning can mount to most racks, I don't want to mistakenly buy a rack that will not mount to my awning. Great explanation and video! Thank you.
Nice video! I have the awning but can't figure out the right way to use the guy wires. Do you have a pic of how you attached it the awning and then the stake part?
Just installed a 270 LT, does the back arm on your awning extend around to 90 degrees off the main mounting plate? Mine doesn't like 100 - 110 degrees, making it so it doesn't cover the back completely, so I'm looking /asking around if this is normal. Thank you
@@CoddiwompleOverland I'm saving up to install a 3" suspension lift and 35s on my truck before I try and take it on any super technical trails, but I'd love to tag along some time if y'all don't mind the company of a 21 year old and his dad haha
@@CoddiwompleOverland I see on their website that you can buy all walls individually but I don't see an option of buying them all. Piecing it out would be 700. Do you remember where you found the kit?
Rolling up the walls/door is a near impossibility (probably why you didn't actually show it). The straps that wrap around and secure the walls/door are just too damn short. You can't be willy-nilly, you've got to REALLY roll them tight. Of course doing that is real pain in the ass unless you've got two people due to the size of the walls/door. Even the door is pretty damn wide.
Sorry you are having these issues the walls are wide and do typically take 2 people to roll up, however it can be done with one person as I have done it.
