We set out on a Overlanding trip to Mendocino National Forest. This would be our first time going there. Since we had no knowledge of The Mendocino our first stop was the Ranger Station in Upper Lake CA. The Ranger there gave us some free maps and a little advice. I also bought a beautiful color map.
Driving the Jeep Wrangler Ecodiesel and towing our Xventure XV3 off-road trailer we headed to Middle Creek Campground. After looking over the map we found a route that looked interesting. Next morning we started out for The M1 Backcountry Discovery Trail. We ended up having a awesome trip, beautiful camping, and incredible views of Northern California mountains.
