Actually, in real life Ankylosaurus was smaller and its armor was not as tough and large. A large carnivore would easily kill it.

Herbivores fending off attackers would be more entertaining imo. The herbivores just being handed is boring and kills the mood after sometime. Herbivores fighting on even terms would be the real deal
