Dan walks you through our new BLT 2WD "Hybrid" Short Course Truck. The BLT has incredible handling for a 2WD Short Course Truck. It combines the reliable and simple Baja rear end with the great suspension and chassis of the 4WD LT truck. Enthusiasts have been creating their own hybrid 2WD setups from scratch, but Rovan RC now offers a RTR and Roller option for this great 2WD platform, the BLT! And no, it's not a sandwich!

@@PrimalRC I asked another you tuber this, I am truly curious as to what the benefits are to "hybrid" platform is? Local track has a 2wd 5th scale class and need to know what the benefits are before choosing a platform to setup for next season.

@@thatoneguy2756 It would be great for that because this uses this combines the great suspension/ handling of the LOSI 5IVE-T chassis and the rear biased weight of the Baja. It's like using the best of both platforms in one truck

Guys just a suggestion: Try making a how-to on gas engine break-ins. I wanna get a rovan 30.5cc and I'm looking into breaking it in and how to run it while I save up for it. It'd be helpful to have some sort of guide for beginners like me.

Alloy doesn’t always mean stronger! It’s better for stuff to flex rather than take the full brunt of heavy landings and snap! Nice built tho, I’ve been contemplating a hybrid for my 34v2 ss obr for a while now this might be what I’m looking for!

Plastic bulk heads or shock towers on this car wouldn't make sense, you want them to be strong and aluminum. An arm or hinge pin will break before the bulk head which is nice. I think they used aluminum in the best places here.

@@OwenBuckingham11 they did yes but if you listen to the video he talks about adding more like ally arms etc which not only look cheap and nasty they snap like chocolate.

No, it's modified to fit the Baja transmission and engine.

Yikes that engine! Good it can be bought as a roller. That engine wouldn’t be good as a paper weight.

It's got a lot of nice Billet parts, and RTR with a 36cc engine so I think it's fair. The 30 Degree North are a great value for sure if your looking for a 4WD

@@jameshankssr466 not to be rude but this is a great price. Try building a Taylor outlaw hybrid for this price which is the equivalent Taylor rolling chassis alone is over $3k USD! Great platform and price Dan!!

@@kgm5512 not to be rude but that car is NOT a taylor! Thats like saying a 30deg north is as good as a losi 5ive T! I’m not putting it down like i said i love rovan products but be real its not worth $1100 not even close
