I’m curious to how you handle time off? I am just starting my TC business but I’m wondering how do l schedule vacation time if I’m the only one doing the work?

Hi @Thehiveandhome! Congrats on launching your TC business!! 👏 Your ideal client is a RE Agent, so I recommend that you become a networking pro. You can visit agents in Open Houses, ask permission to the brokers to attend team meetings and promote your services, join facebook groups. If you are comfortable with cold calling or cold emailing, that also works really well. Hope that helps!

Hi! Great video with such helpful information. I am currently a Realtor in CA but I have learned that I really enjoy the contracts/administrative side of the transaction, so I've decided to focus on becoming a TC. One questions about something you had mentioned in the video: did you say you must have the file get approved by the broker before even opening the file? Just want to make sure. Thank you!

Hi! I am so glad you are part of the community! I re-watched the video trying to find where I said you have to get approved by the broker before opening the file, but I wasn't able to spot it. If I said that, it is not correct! I know I mentioned that the broker must approve the file in order to get a DA (disbursement authorization) prior to closing. I hope that clarifies things. How did you get certified to become a transaction coordinator did you go to school or and do a certification program if so which one? I’m interested in becoming a transaction coordinator!

Hi @rw8373! I am a Real Estate Agent who became a TC. Stay tune for next week video, as I will talk on how I transitioned from RE Agent to RETC. You don't need a certification or license in most of the States, however you have to learn some how. I recommend to get a mentor or coach. I offer coaching services and I will be launching a very comprehensive course in the next couple of month. Let me know if I can help in any way!

It states that use attorneys for closing do t the paralegals handle a large majority of this paperwork?

Hi! Thank you for your question. My perspective is that while paralegals can assist attorneys and handle many tasks, some of which may overlap with those of transaction coordinators, they do not hold the same role in the transaction. However, I agree with you that certain documents might indeed be handled by paralegals.
