I currently work as a listing agent for a rental listing company, but I’m very much interested in becoming a Real Estate TC because I want to develop my career in the Real Estate industry and be involved in the actual transaction. I'm seriously considering making a major mid-life career change and am looking into taking an online TC training course. Here in CA you don't need to have a real estate license to enter this field, but was wondering if I would be more marketable if I became a licensed RE agent first? I'd rather not go this route but am willing to do so if it'll increase my marketability.
Hello! It really depends on what type of services you want to provide. However, my personal opinion is that once you have all the necessary knowledge and skills you should start. Later, if you think it could benefit based on your market and the type of business model you choose, then decide to go or not for the license.
I am also in Florida, trying to expand my business. Things are a little slow right now and I am looking for a mentor to help me expand my business as a mobile notary, loan signing agent, RON and add to my portfolio a transaction coordinator. I live in LA and I’m on referral agent it KW. After five years, the RE fees are so high here and I don’t want to be a sales agent anymore. I would love to become a TC! Do you have any recommendations?
Hi! I hear you...the good news is that you are part of the industry already. You know the process, the documentation needed and you know people! Talk to all your RE agents friends and let them know you are doing TC. Talk to the broker and ask if they would let you promote your services in a team meeting. And, let me know if I can help 🙂
Great presentation! I am working toward becoming a Certified Transaction Coordinator in California. How do you find work with companies who are contracted by Brokers to handle the transactions for the broker and all the agents under that person?
That's a great question. You will have to find TC companies and apply directly with them. Another option will be to contact the brokerages in your areas and inquire about it. You might want to also target the Sales Teams inside the brokerage. Hope that helps! :)
I can relate to you..I also when from Accounting to hospitality bc accounting you dont have flexibility...now I have a PT in hospitality and have days available to work in Real Estate but its hard for me to get clients. Watching ur channel I see that I am not natural in sales too. Thanks for sharing ❤😊
