Great vid and 6s is what this truck needed to make it come alive! It's a heavy beast for a 1/10 platform and even on stock setup its not slow just a little sluggish at times. 16t pinion woke mine up but I only managed 49mph 😭

Great video! Totally agree with the 6S system. I have the 6S Corally system in mine but only running on 4S. This thing is a monster.

Just what that ride needs. I picked up a skeeter a month ago but haven’t had decent weather to run it yet, but even without running it it’s clear. At just shy of 10 pounds it’s a heavy sucker to run on the 4s set up. Other then being a bit underpowered it looks awesome. Glad you tried this as I was planning on swapping motor and esc, but now it looks like I’ll be able to just swap esc

I think it needed 6s, it is pretty heavy as you know haha, although a geared up 4s will still be plenty for most people imo

Oh I 100% agree bro, 6s is an animal! The 16t pinion felt like a good balance 👌 I'm keen to see how yours runs! You even good good knowledge mate, I've raced vefore but I'm only just getting into the extreme bashing side haha 😄 I still think a geared up 4s with badlands would be great for the casual basher!

Hey mate 😀 It'll depend on your budget I guess. The xmaxx or maxx are great options, the arrma exbs are awesome too or even the new corally sketer or xtr. If you are looking nore budget friendly, the bigrock, sketer or even the rival mt10 would be great options

Nice! Picking up my sketer up tomorrow. Hehe. I was getting 57MPH with the Maxx V2 on 6s with 26/46 gearing (Max 8 and stock motor), but my Max 8 kept hitting Thermal. So I went back to 23/50 gearing and 4s . Fast enough for me on 4s 😂

Love ❤️ your videos bud I just bought myself team corally skeeter 4s and yes it's a bit slow I'm going to do the Same I think🤔 change out esc I have the prober team corally esc 6s did you said change the motor has well or use the same motor 😀let me know thanks 😊the pinion gear 13t a moment I will change to 15t only because on max8 having 16t like yours the motor keeps cutting out over heating. It happens to my team corally kronos. Thanks 😊

Much appreciated dude! It's a little heavy on 6s, if you plan to do some bashing, I'd actaully consider going up to 16t or maybe even 18t pinion, play around with speeds etc.. that'll keep the car lighter and no jeed for an esc or motor change, maybe a heatsink depending how big if a pinion you get and your local weather temps. 6s was just a bit of fun and definitely crazy fast haha 😄

@@MatthewSimm so you saying bud that change pinion too 16t now and change the esc to a team corally 150a esc put leave the same motor 725 in there yes 😉🤔

@@Moggmodels23 its up to you if you change the esc, you probably don't even tmbeed to change the esc as it's already 130amp and 4s capable. That motor is perfect for 4s, it's a 40mm can size I believe and 2250kv (basically 1/8th scale)

@@MatthewSimm no what I was saying is I'm going to change esc because I have a spare toro esc which is for 6s. And the motor I'm leaving now just run it on 6s with the same motor. Put I swap the esc that's it and I will try 15t pinion gear first then take from there bud

Matthew hi just to let you know I've gone head and order the max8 esc and 16t pinion and dual fan too go in the back of the motor. Also will the wires from the 725 motor fit straight into the max8 esc holes let me know thanks 😊
