@@SuperStarkiller999 no, i don't think their should be 2 tanks. but a tank and off-tank class. like a bruiser/brute class. give those tanks slightly less health and more dmg. think zarya, wrecking ball, doomfist. etc.

But you aren’t going to be able to name anything that solves the fundamental issue with this games format. The biggest issues in this game can’t be solved in the 5v5 format.
They will try everything under the sun except look at 6v6 again. Off-tank needs to return. Every half season is a wildly different game than before. I'm sick of learning how to play each hero every couple months again and again.

@@vforvinico not how it works The more inside the dragons hit boxes the more damage it does Like I think it does 150 damage per second in the center and as you go out it does 75 You might be surprised it hits you but if you still use a movement ability or baps immortality field then you should be fine The damage per second doesn't change
The game hasn’t felt good since going to 5v5. They’re trying to balance a game that should be 6v6 to work with 5v5 it’s like trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. If they would announce they are going back to 6v6 I guarantee it would help revive this game.
the problem is we are at a point where they need to admit they where wrong with the decision, this will never happen so we rather pummel it more into the ground and sell battlepasses.
It was far more fun win you did tank strategies with 2 tanks. Used to split the team have dive and half flank. Now it’s just lame, tank dies it’s over. Now the tank is over powered 🙄

tank counter picking and banning anyone who tried to communicate makes it hard to get back into it, literally got banned for asking my team mates for help in the back line ( as a support ) and for asking people to switch when they get counter picked. ban reason "griefing"

After some testing from before to now against a Rein as the basis, this is what I found: (Body/Headshot) Dva (+8/+5) Doomfist (+3/+2) Junker Queen (+2/+1) Orisa (+4/+8) - unsure of this one tbh Rein (-1) - one less swing, which is big! Roadhog (0/0) - no difference Sigma (-1) - one less 2-rounded attack Winston/Zarya - ignores armor so big for them So as we can see, for the most part, it is not LESS VIABLE to shoot the tank as the tank - with a few exceptions. However, when it comes to DPS, that's when we see an interesting result. As for what I can tell, it appears that body shots require less bullets, ranging for 1-3, while headshots requires more bullets to kill, ranging from 1-3. While that may seem like nothing to some like Cass and Widow (who lost nothing as it was the same across), heroes like Ashe and Hanzo might want to do more body shots as the gap is far more closer than before. And of course, explosive and beam heroes benefit from this overall. They lost nothing, so expect more Junkrat, Sym, Pharah, and even Venture. However, the biggest issue I see is not DPS, with a few exceptions, it is the Support. Ana (-2) Bap (-3/+3) Brig (-2) Illari (-2/-1) Kirko (-2/0) Lucio (0/+4) Mercy (-1/+4) Zen (-2/0) Now while I do say that I am fine with a strong Support, this may be an issue as their power is slowing begininng to creep again, and I doubt we want to see that again. And when this was meant to be a patch for the tanks too! *Biggest losers not worth mentioning (those who require 10+ to kill, both in headshots and body) - Mauga (when not on fire), Ram, Wrecking Ball, Sojourn, Sombra, Tracer, and Lifeweaver
The point was pretending some big changes when in reality they have zero idea what to do, and thus change all the numbers to sell it as a 'massive update' while the game is as broke as always.
Just played a couple hours, feels like the matchmaking is actually somehow worse then it has ever been before. Back to back progressively worse feeling games.
Its subtle but I don’t love that winning percentage team placement thing. It has good intent but oh man imagine you’re on a winning streak and every match feels like you have to carry as hard as you can because you’re other teammates are on losing streaks every-time…. I don’t know it just doesn’t sound good
it was a slight buff with armor changes because a LOT of tank busters lost their tank bustyness with the changes, but also a LOT of "bursty" damage was also significantly buffed, like reins hammer now deals 95ish damage to armor, rather then its pitiful 70. other examples are widow, cassidy, junkrat, etc, are all significantly stronger vs armor.
they want scavenger players instead of an aggressive playstyle to just stand around and spam 125 damage... man this sucks just give me one shot damn there are literally 4 characters in the game who can complain about combo, tracer, sombra, Genji, possibly Ventura. yes the combo is simple but it requires a condition, most characters are long/medium range fighters.
@@Hachishaku-Sama I'm not sure about Ventura, in theory she's a melee fighter, but in practice I don't have much experience in junk against her. maybe because of the shields she could survive the combo.
Junkrats 2 shot combo by its nature needs 2 shots. All the other cqc combos need more than 2 shots or a longer time to do. Those extra shots mean theres more counterplay and requires more skill the get the oneshot value.
Blizzard, please just give us back the 2 tap on rat. If you got the 2 tap with a mine you either got into position to get a 2 tap while saving one of your mines or survived after flanking for long enough to get a mine back. Along with that, if you 2 tapped you got close enough for the one shot without dying. With all of that in consideration, if you consistently got the one shot, you were good enough to earn them. This was flankrat’s best and favorite toy, and taking it away only punishes people for the more interesting and skillful method of playing junkrat, which forces them to play spamrat.
Honestly I don't mind it either way, I've gotten used to it and kill most people with follow ups and airshots. I personally wouldn't mind bringing back the mine combo, just buffing mines damage and leaving primary at 3 shots so it's less spam rat,obviousoy just make sure the max damage is close to the center so you aren't chucking nukes into the enemy team and it rewards precise mine throws.
They're never going to "fix" wide grouping for lower ranks, are they? It's absurd that they cut the allowed grouping restrictions in half. No ranks that could play together in Season 9 or before should be considered a wide group now.
@@naw613 not only does it hurt his area denial but the damage output as well since it’ll be in the area for a shorter amount of time. This might surprise people for a few days but then people will get used to it and move out of the way quicker
@@naw613it literally reduces the damage you can deal because it goes away quicker, and again the ultimate is better as a zoning tool, they are nerfing the only good thing about it. This is supposed to be a buff, at best it's a change and in reality it's a nerf.
They unironicallly should have made it slower, or wider if they wanted it do more damage, but they insistent on doing the worst possible decisions for this character it's crazy
For me playing McCree isn’t the same anymore. You have to hit so many shots just to get one kill you have the same amount of bullets in the gun though bring back his stun
I main sombra/tracer.... played yesterday and today, never loose so many matches in this amont of time I'm not a good player (mid plat), but there is only 2 explanations..either I suddenly suck more than before at the game, or these changes are changing the way i should be playing these picks It s gonna be really hard this season
Most Hanzo mains have been begging for the smaller arrows and 1shot back, but instead they nerf his ult... which was already one of the worst in the game?? They have to be deliberately dumpstering him to reduce player numbers for a rework, I'm convinced. They literally said Ball was performing better after his rework, so why did they buff him ON TOP OF THE GLOBAL TANK CHANGES?!
I still don't understand the point in giving tanks faster health regeneration if it still takes 5 seconds before it engages. Tanks don't go 5 seconds without being hit.
When it's shown that this patch has failed the tank role I wonder what the devs are gonna do. Will they still choose to be stubborn and rework tanks overall or will they finally admit 6v6 has been the better option overall that would have saved them 2 years of headaches on trying to figure out how the tank role works
Every major change since OW1 (and even some changes made in OW1) has pushed OW to look more and more like paladins. I think the only way to make 5v5 work is to remove role limits and some obvious needed changes after role limit is removed.

Again, no reward for diving in for heroes that needs to dive in and gets instantly killed
Wait every hero has 200+hp now so the healing will be the same for everyone unless they have more than 200hp then they get more, 5% of 200 is 10, 10+5%(10)=20
Anybody else still have issues queuing with friends? I am Gold 3 support and my friend is Silver 5 tank and it wont let us play ranked together. I feel like that's not that big of a difference in rank but idk I'm still kinda new to this...

What is sad I been down with ow1 since day one the excitement for their game I had even through the years when. We got diapers was great I had fun , stylosa had so much energy for the game too . We just seemed to all lost the love as 5v5 is not as fun .
While I appreciate the junk buff why on earth are you so scared to put him back where he was? He was NEVER meta and has ALWAYS been easy to deal with. Y’all are so scared of the bad players of this game who claim he’s OP when they have terrible positioning… why so scared to make junkrat viable on his niche maps? He won’t be meta with his usual combos…
This is a really awful change for everybody. Tanks are more awful to fight against and the core issues with Tank still aren’t solved with this change. It’s just a bad patch overall.
Agreed. Doesn't help tanks deal with getting 1:5 counter swapped just made the game miserable for everyone else and made whatever fotm raid boss tank everyone is forced to play even more overpowered and unkillable
so they admitted player teams is not random but you are kinda forced to win/lose games, well, it only took them 2 years to admit it. Also tracer so dead with this tank update, not looking forward to play
Should just go back to 6v6. I feel like the only players against it are people who climbed the ranks who probably shouldnt have. With two tanks being a braindead heal bot isnt valuable and dps would actual have to think before engaging. Cant upset the majority though, its bad for business.
@@stratifacations8377 no this is for all characters, it never says tank it says "heroes" on the patch notes. Tracer has 20 hps, everyone's above 200 hp gets more healing now even just slightly, so 250 hp characters will have 22.5 hps, 300 hp will get 25 hps etc.
To me, the tank passive should be something along the lines of "Gain damage reduction based on number of teammates within X feet of tank." It forces tanks to play the role of a tank, rather than go off on their own. Then again, I'm only a gold player, so I don't know how that would affect higher levels of gameplay.
@@ivenstormIt's hard for tanks to live without supports, it's hard for them to kill someone without the help of DPS, it makes them even more dependent on other players... no thanks, I think then no one will want to play this role. taking away control of the battlefield from tanks and allowing other roles to decide where the battle will take place - this goes against the essence of the tank, the tank itself must decide where and how much space it will occupy. in the end, tank players will either leave for other roles or they will get bored of playing as they are “supposed to” and will do what they want.

This is ridiculous, ball needs to be taken out of tank position. He provides no support to the team at what he does. Yes he'll make pics but his team will be open . Such a stupid character.
honestly this patch feels like its fixed ow, i'm not seeing tank shredding teams and seeing actually creative teams with mismatched characters which people actually enjoy playing; and not seeing any op orisas either. only issue might be hog and MAYBE zar. but im impressed.
Buffing all balls abilities? Any chance they could do something to make him more punishable? He throws himself into your back line over and over and either gets a kill, or gets hurt a little and just rolls away to fast to chase. and even if the whole team turned around to shoot at him (which you cant really do anyway), he can still shield up and roll away. you need like a cassidy hinder then a junkrat trap followed by a rein pin. AND HE STILL MIGHT GET AWAY. maddening, makes me want old Sombra back, where you get hacked and stay hacked for 3-4 seconds =T
As a ball player, I hate these massive ball buffs. I dont want his numbers buffed, they need to fundamentally change how he plays. The number buffs only make it so that the enemy team locks mauga sombra cass and makes the game unplayable
