What average human being are any car ads marketing to? I’ve never understood why car companies insist on wasting such an egregious amount of money on advertisements that are more or less completely worthless.

@@catcv eh, but I feel car ones are a special case because they’re advertising something you might buy every 3-4 years like it’s a Big Mac. The only other ads that I can think of that could be equally or more pointless are the constant insurance provider ads.

There has not been a single time an ad made me want to get something.
