Overwatch Lore - The Story of Overwatch So Far! | Hammeh 

I hope they go more in depth with the "new" generation of OW heroes who technically aren't affiliated with it (Pharah, Hanzo, D.Va, Zarya, Lucio, Symmetra, etc). It would be interesting to see how they come together with some of the oldies.

They need an Overwatch movie.

Overwatch needs to come out with a story mode already, it would be so good!

I wonder if there was Reyes had feelings for and Anna which could have fed Reyes hate for Morrision with her apparent death under Morrisons watch and why "she always chose his side" is such an important line between reaper and Ana

I wonder how Junkrat and Roadhog are going to possibly play into this. Maybe Junkrat's "secret treasure" has some significance to the story?

Hanzo seems to be known by Talon too, and they seem to want to recruit him as shown in a line with him and Widowmaker on Hanamura, where she says "Talon could help you rebuild your empire," and he responds "But at what cost?"

The game still needs more villains.

My god... There is gigantic fucking lore behind this small multiplayer game... They fucking need to make OW campaign... at least a trilogy campaign explaining what happened with the omnis how they became what they became and how we got the overwatch team and wiping clean omnis then the golden era as second expansion (which is as long as the first part) with showing what they did in golden era with recruiting and stuff and then showing at the end of that expansion the beginning of the downfall of overwatch... THEN the second expansion continuing from that downfall and explaining the rest. Oh my god they fucking need to DO this. 20-30 hours long campaigns with big ass in depth story. We could be some guy by the side and all these heroes should be NPCs so we don't get the "oh but i wanted to play this dude why that dude???"

Im still wondering how Mcree lost his arm...although I can't wait for that new comic in November

I personally have respect for blizzard for wanting to do only one thing very well (multiplayer) instead of several thing mediocre, but I think adding in a story mode is needed . Not now but soon

At this rate,the story of Overwatch would be about the 2nd Omnic war and it would revolve around the person behind the fall of Overwatch This leads to many questions : 1)How important is Widowmaker's husband,Gérard,to the point that he had been assassinated?Does his death some what causes the fall of Overwatch? 2)Does Overwatch has a "mole" in there? 3)What does other country solutions to the Omnic crisis?what do they do? (pesonal questions,out of curiosity )

i love this game but they could have added this story into the game. they could have added an extras option in the game and then added story and character info but the game is just like Destiny where you have to leave the game to find out the real story but no one that i know who play this game call out the game for the flaw it has.

Here's what I believe regarding Overwatch's downfall, a bit of its origin, and especially Talon. I'm willing to bet that Talon is like Hydra in the Marvel movies. They have agents, collaborators, and sympathizers in key positions and locations across the globe who provide assistance and assets to the organization at large, as well as influencing global events for their own nefarious means, such as starting the Second Omnic Crisis by killing Mondatta. I'm also willing to bet that Doomfist is the leader of Talon, and he's hiding behind the persona of a changed man, as evidenced by the Doomfist posters on several maps. Of course, like Hydra, Talon has their special operatives for the most dangerous and important missions, like Widowmaker (Talon's version of the Winter Soldier) or Reaper (who likely approached Doomfist just so he could kill Overwatch members). Having Doomfist as the head of Talon would also explain why Reaper and Widowmaker were trying to steal Doomfist's gauntlet and why Talon specifically targeted Watchpoint Gibraltar (to get revenge on Winston for beating him). With regards to Overwatch's downfall and origins, I also think this: 1: Overwatch's downfall from the inside was caused by a mass infiltration through Blackwatch, likely via Doomfist approaching Gabriel Reyes and offering him a chance to get revenge on Jack Morrison for stealing the position as Overwatch's leader from him. When Jack and the honest Overwatch members found out about this, it caused a titanic battle that led to the destruction of Overwatch's Swiss HQ and drove the final nail in the coffin for Overwatch by being the last straw before the world passed the Petras Act (at the behest of Talon-influenced politicians). 2: Talon has key operatives working from the top spots in corporations such as Vishkar, Helix, and Lumerico, and the reason why Soldier 76 and Ana have been targeting these corporations has been because they've been following leads to try and find Talon within and what their influential capabilities are and then expose and shut them down. I'm unsure if Volskaya and Lucheng also have Talon operatives working within, but I think it's possible. A possible explanation for Volskaya's stock drop as the Second Crisis begins is Talon influence, but it's speculation at this point. 3: Symmetra's views of order and chaos reflect those of Talon and their motivations. Talon instigated both of the Omnic Crisises because Omnica refused to join them and rooted out Talon's undercover operations within. Talon then orchestrated Omnica's fraud controversy and started the Crisises. When the First Crisis was averted, Talon had to take out Overwatch before starting up their plans again. What are their ultimate goals? To create a world so chaotic that the people of Earth will willingly give up their freedom and rights in exchange for the security provided by Talon and Doomfist. I also believe that Symmetra's beliefs of order and chaos are because of influence by Talon agents working as the leaders of Vishkar and that Vishkar's treatment of the citizens of Rio are examples of what Talon wants to do with the world's people. 4: In Recall, it's been shown that Talon has the capability to hack into technology that is at least as advanced as Athena. The upper limits of their capability are unknown, but I think it could be as advanced as hacking into the Omnium, especially if Talon had undercover operatives working from within. It's also been shown in Pharah's comic that peaceful Omnics in Egypt were turned evil by the Anubis facility's reactivation, as though their software had been taken over and corrupted by it. I'm thinking that that corruption was the result of a Talon virus that corrupted Omnic programming into believing that humans are the enemy and that the logical action is to destroy them. Why else would a company that had previously built Omnics solely to make the world a better place (e.g. the skyscraper-building robots, Mondatta and Zenyatta and their peaceful beliefs) suddenly turn evil and want to destroy humanity? My answer is that it happened because Talon wanted to turn humans against Omnics to start a series of events and conflicts so devastating and chaotic, that the world would choose the seemingly benevolent order and security of Talon and its leader, Doomfist. Finally, I believe that, like Hydra up until the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Talon was in the shadows leading up to the Omnic Crisis, building up its power and influence by placing operatives in key positions of power and infiltrating powerful companies and organizations. The Omnic Crisis was their first attempt at throwing the world into chaos. After Overwatch stopped the Crisis, Talon refocused on destroying Overwatch, which was the only real threat to their goals. They destroyed Overwatch via the recruitment of Gabriel Reyes, the mass infiltration via Blackwatch, and the political manipulation that allowed the Petras Act to be passed. The Second Crisis was started after more years of planning and infiltrating and building of power so that Talon would be able to deal with the surviving ex-Overwatch heroes should they try to intervene.

Omg this was an awesome summary I said it once and I'll say it again, this game needs a proper animated/comic series and I definitely can't wait for that graphic novel...

One thing that always bugged me was how apparently, there are a lot of Omniums in strangely isolated places, like Syberia or the Australian outback. We haven't heard anything about Omnica corp, which supposedly MADE all the Omniums... weird, considering the UN would've gone to them first to find out how to fight the omnics. It's pretty damn weird. They're the cause of nearly everything, but they are only named once, they apparently made completely self-sufficient robotic factories powered by GODDAMN NUCLEAR REACTORS in a lot of different nations, put them in hard-to-reach places... they don't make any sense. What is behind Omnica corp?

Meanwhile...Junkrat is just being....Junkrat. A lunatic bent on destruction and mayhem. I love it.

+Hammeh - Overwatch (FailCraft) During Recall, when Winston pressed the Recall button, I saw some heroes (like Mercy and Torb) are in different places. Mercy isn't in Europe (Helping ppl)... and Torb isn't in Sweden (cuz stopping peeps from using his weapons wrong).

Great videos as always! But this is just a small note I've had on my mind for a while that I think it'd be a good idea to leave sources like you do with the music for things like the artwork in thumbnails or that Bastion pixel art near the beginning of the video :' )

Campaign Idea #1: Story of how Overwatch was reformed to defeat Reaper and his group. You play as every character and learn what they've been doing since it was disbanded. Campaign Idea #2: Play through the Omni Crisis as every character, and learn how they defeated the robots. Campaign Idea #3: Chose a character to play as, and go through the whole story as THEM ONLY.

Ok I just wanna offer something I just thought of randomly since people say that there should be a campaign or a series or something What if every week/month, we got a short single player game (kinda like how the weekly brawls used to work) probably like an hour long. Every week/month we'd get something like an episode going through the story, like we could go through how Widowmaker shot out Ana's eye, and throughout the episode we'd get to play as Ana shooting down Talon guards, like in the comic. Or we could have an episode centered around the fight between Hanzo and Genji, where we play as Hanzo and try to take down Genji in a sword fight, and we'd have a short cinematic at the end of Genji being rescued by Mercy. Or even an episode of playing a Talon mission with Widow, Reaper and Sombra. I don't know, I just had the thought. I would really like something like this, though.

Where Overwatch's story takes us next?? I didnt even know there was a story until i stumbled upon this video. The game would be awesome if it had a campaign with a a story instead of just lore you have to go looking for online...

I'd be nice if Blizzard made some standalone single-player campaign missions, both prequels and present-day. It seems like Overwatch has a lot of lore and yet so much untapped potential in using it.

I want a story mode that starts right after Winston presses that Recall button. I want Pharah to get to join like she wanted to. I mean, when Pharah and Tracer are on the same team, there's that dialogue between them that goes something like Pharah: I've always envied you Tracer, ever since I was a girl I dreamed of joining Overwatch Tracer: Well maybe you still can, who knows that the future holds! I'd cry.

If you note... in Ana's Origins trailer Gabriel Reyes appears before Jack Morrison does. For a split second, in the picture it's just her, young Pharah and Reyes. Why? Speculation time! I believe he is Pharah's father. Blizzard wouldn't do something like that unless they tried to give a hint; otherwise, she was Morrison's second-in-command, and line she says during that moment, "you grew up surrounded by heroes". Now, Morrison would make a lot more sense to be first to appear, but he doesn't. Reyes appears first, and while he was considered a hero during the Omnic Crisis, he clearly was passed over during the years after it. Blackwatch was a secret division. No one would be called hero there. Now imagine this: what if there was a relationship, and maybe even a love triangle, and Amari did pick Reyes over Morrison. Yes, Morrison got the fame and the leadership, but Reyes got the girl, right? Wrong. Amari stayed by Morrison's side as his second-in-command, and Reyes was banished into Blackwatch and largely forgotten. Jealousy for Morrison would be incredible, not only because he stole Reyes' place in the spotlight, but also because Ana would have to work side by side with Jack every day, while Gabriel is out and about, doing dirty work that gets no recognition. He would feel cheated, in more ways than one. That would wreak a lot of havoc and mistrust, just saying. Alright, , you may take your tinfoil hat off.

Can you do more research on reaper. I got into a game and the chemistry between him and mercy got my attention. Mercy said what happened to you?! And reaper replied "I don't know you tell me" very sarcastically 🤔🤔🤔
