Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my unboxing (gone wrong) experience with you all. I ordered the OwnBoard ZEUS on November 11th and took delivery on December 6th. I was definitely NOT expecting it to arrive this early since I chose the standard surface shipping (perfect for X'mas). I had ordered the 3K matte carbon fiber, 120mm Cloudwheels & 97mm Street wheel version and received the Forged Carbon Fiber deck with All-Terrain setup instead. I have since talked to OwnBoard about this and they are going to send me a set of CloudWheels soon. So I guess I'll have a 3-in1! I still prefer the 3K over the forged but it may grow on me due to the glossiness. I really want to enjoy the board! Stay tuned as I will have some updates soon! Hey how's it going quick question which board you think is better on road the hurricane or the meepo mini,er. It's just that the hurricane is so expensive but the mini looks cool but don't know about the hard tires on the road do you have to replace them quick do they wore out?

If it's your 1st board, I suggest you get something less advanced as the Hurricane unless you were a skater with good balance, etc. The Hurricane is no doubt the better board. It is 2x or 3x more though. If you have rough roads, the mini will be very rough due to its 90mm wheels/tires. It IS and does look cool due to how small and portable it is! Whichever you get, you'll enjoy them at the end of the day!

Ho long have you had the meepo mini, and how long has it held up and the wheels until you replace them if you did?

@@motorizedbicyclerider5296 I've had the Mini for over a year and a half now but it's not an everyday board for me since I ride the others as well. I have about maybe 150 miles put on it and the standard wheels have held up just fine. I do have some spare 100mm sleeves that I will put on and see how much more comfortable they will be compared to the 90mm when they start to chunk out. Here in SoCal, the streets aren't the worst but they aren't the greatest either. Good luck!

what sort of problems? Sorry it came with the AT wheels/tires already preinstalled. I have yet to run the street and cloudwheels though.

Hey man have you contacted Ownboard about the mixup? I’m curious about what they tell you. Sorry just saw the description! I wonder if they can give you some type of credit for the mixup since technically you could return it without penalty and I’m sure they wouldn’t want to go through that.

I have and they are sending me some Cloudwheels. I got a good deal on the Black Friday deal already so the only thing that's not in favor is the deck. They work the same way so I'll just settle for it since I'm getting the AT set for no charge. I know stuff gets mixed up but they were prompt with my problem and resolved it very quickly! Hope this won't effect anyone's future purchases with them! They have been great so far!

@@stephenhartley3292 Due to the weather limitations here recently I have yet to put many miles on it. But so far I've ridden 18 miles with 2 battery bars gone. I am 168lbs.

I really like it! It's a different type of board from my others. Very smooth linear power with GREAT range! I have gotten 24 miles on the 105mm Cloudwheels riding on mode-2. I have yet to test with the street wheels since I lost them :(

Hey there 🖐 greetings from overseas. I actually have the same interest for the Meepo Mini 2 as a second board and I finally also got my Zeus ✌. But I am a little disappointed must say, even think it could be faulty somehow(ESC?) Don't have much experience, only a season with a Wowgo 3X belt drive(2x600W) and think the 3X had a way more punchy ride feel than the Zeus. So I am trying to get some opinions before I turn to Ownboard with the issue. How do you feel about the speed mode 1 and 2 on the Zeus are they useable for every day riding, my Zeus feels really weak in both modes. Speed mode 1(18,4 seconds to reach 22kmh or 13,5 mph) is so gentle I could without hesitation give it to child that is able to use it to try it out. Speed mode 2 is just a little faster, not to much, feels also pretty weak(8,4 seconds to reach 22 kmh or 13,5 mph). Only speed mode 3 has some real punch, but not from standstill, it needs to get moving and then it kicks in. On the Wowgo 3X this torque kick was instantaneous, on the Zeus the torque feel is completely gone in speed mode 1 and 2, on mode 3 it's better but when the board is moving. In speed mode 1 and 2 full throttling it with me on it I can't get it to drive over an edge of a rug, carpet, after 5 seconds the remote just signals "Motor Stalling" . 😬 With the brakes I feel like a passenger, no useable control of the braking strength with the remote, just an On/Off feeling and for esk8 speeds kinda dangerously slow deceleration. Don't know if that's the case with all or it's connected with my issue. I know that the Wowgo 3X would/did throw me off if not being careful with the brakes. Also it did save me a few times, where I don't see how the Zeus could save me with it's brakes 😬. I kinda suspect a faulty ESC, don't have enough experience...what do you think. How does your Zeus ride in mode 1 and 2, can you climb a slight incline in mode 1 or 2? I would like to hear some opinions before I turn to Ownboard with the issue. Thanks in advance, Best regards 👍

Thanks for asking! I will try to make a video for you regarding the different speed modes. There's got to be something wrong with your electronics. Whether it's the remote/ESC/battery. But Hopefully it's just a faulty ESC or remote. Looks like you might be stuck on Mode1. Are you aware that there's a TURBO as well?

@@My2JZandMe Hey there that was fast ✌😃 yeah I am aware of Turbo mode, actually I can feel the difference between all modes, the 3 and Turbo have that torque punch to it, can't complain about it, except it's kinda delayed a little...like it really kicks in after a few meters. But modes 1 and 2 are so weak that I can't drive over a rug in my room with full throttle...really weird. The videos would be great to compare with my board. Thanks 👍✌

@@torion29able hey, thoose were my first miles on the board and what I'm saying is that it felt really weird(weak) to me comparing it to my previous board Wowgo 3X which by specs is a far inferior board...but the difference in acceleration in modes 1 and 2 are enormous...

@@aleszverca 1 and 2 is just getting started..the speed is capped off so new riders don't hurt themselves. The reviews all over RU-vid said this board doesnt have the most torque.. But the range and top speed is where it excels.

How the heck do they mix that up? It's not like they're dealing with thousands at a time. I would not be a happy camper. I don't like the look of the forged deck at all. Looks like a piece of granite or something. I might just go with the Eovan so this can't happen. That's the 2 I'm trying to decide between. Cool you got a free AT kit though. That's pretty badass 🙂

I have no idea how they got it mixed up! But they were cool about it. You are absolutely right on with the forged design. It is different but from the top, where we normally ride u can't tell a difference until it's flipped over of course. As stated, I can't complain about it. Hey we can always wrap it LOL!

@@My2JZandMe yeah that's a good point. You won't be looking at it at all while you're riding it. Hey, maybe you'll even ride it more because you'll spend less time looking at it 🤣 Very good to know they have great customer service. That's huge 👏

@@slargo83 I am not sure if anyone else got their order mixed up so don't let that be a negative thing from you choosing the right board. I like the specs of the EOVAN but I don't like the board design. It has way too many hard edges around the tail/nose sections. It reminds me of someone that made their own boards cutting straight edges. Let us know which one you end up getting bud!

@@My2JZandMe ok, will do. I was leaning more towards the Ownboard so I'll probably stick with that. Thanks for the conformation. I guess if they send me the wrong one, I'll just have to send it back and maybe they'd be generous enough to expedite ship a replacement. Man, I wish I was rich so I could just get the Kaly NYC XL-R and be done comparing 🤣

@@slargo83 The only thing you can go wrong with those boards is that they're too big & heavy IMO! It's no longer portable. The ZEUS is already stretching it for me. I don't know where you are from but peeps stare at you quite funny here if you're riding in public. They probably thinking I'm the green goblin or something!
