Ownership Review MK8.5 Ford Fiesta ST 

Fantastic video once again chaps. Like you, I collected my Fiesta ST Mk8.5 mean green 3 door in July 2022 after ordering in November 2021 and have loved every minute of it since. At the time of ordering I wasn't, in all honesty, aware of the rare, 'sought-after' nature of the 3 door Mk8.5 ST so I'm quite keen to hang onto it and hopefully lock it away in a barn in the future! I have done 4,500 miles in it so far and have had no trouble at all. Feels very well screwed together, no rattles and the engine quite characterful for a 3 cylinder!

Nice content Sam😊 Glad I got one of the last 3dr MK8.5 ST, defo keeping hold of mine. Not sure if I will mod my car, I do like the gel Ford Performance inlays, may pick up that for my car, perhaps get a remap, not sure whether to go for Revo or Mountune, which do you think is the best?

I see this exact st at Romford Allen Ford service/parts. I've got the same car, but 5 doors are the only difference:)

Spoke to Ford today and they are apparently stopping production of the focus soon too. Seems nuts!

It is strange to think of how heavy cars are now…. particularly E.V.s That ‘little’ Fiat E.V.. weighs more than all Ford Zephyrs and 3 litre Zodiacs, more than a Rover P5 and more than most empty full size vans in the 70s like the Transits and Bedford CFs … Mind you they were effectively large biscuit tins.

The advice to go for it and go for it now is sound. There's very few build slots left and prices are going up. Hopefully they will not use inferior parts in the end of the production builds as there is a legacy for Ford to consider here!

Great car over so many years! Just such a pity Ford decided that as they had made the decision to stop production, it would be the model in the range that would suffer the most with Fords shortage of semiconductors. Add a few extras and the mk8.5 is pushing £30.000 being a 19% rise in price from the previous model, but yet has no power fold mirrors not even being heated, no internal door lock/unlock switch along with much other equipment which was standard on the mk8 ST3. It’s really disappointing that Ford decided to rape such a good selling model in its last days, funny how the Puma ST suffered no loss of equipment due to chip shortages!

That's sad that fiesta won't be continuing. I love hot hatches!

I still can’t believe the fiesta is being killed off. It’s so sad to see the greatest hot hatch for British B roads come to an end. Even when EVs get the weight down and can recreate a simulation of this it will never be the same. RIP fun daily drivers.

Where did you get the brighter white and red Ford performance for the front splitter I'd like this on mine?

I have a mk7 zetec. Trying to find decent st wheels but it's so hard lol.

Its such a shame that a car like this is so expensive. Most people would likely just buy a couple of year old decent brand instead.
