Thank you for this review. I have a SUPER sensitive sense of smell so everything gives me a migraine so knowing this is heavily scented is probably and unfortunately not going to work for me so I appreciate you mentioning that. Now I'm sad though because I have to keep looking. If you can recommend another brand that has the same concept as this I would greatly appreciate it though! Thank you 😊

I think I'm going to wear this a lot in the summer! The drying factor won't be an issue and the shade will be just right for the little bit of color I tend to get on my forearms.

I am 51 and I love this foundation. I have combo to slightly oily. I do set it with a powder. If I use the sun spun powder, it will oxidize, but its great with Laura Mercier powder. If I don't set it, then I find it does separate and settle. It's very comfortable though and lightweight. I also use the sponge dry.

Fragrance and no shade range.....how many people fall into 2shades? Cute packaging . Trying to catch up on my favorite influencers reviews ...we live in Texas and the storm was brutal...38 hours without power...11days without the internet....(I love the internet).... Have water now, have to boil it for another week...lots of damage in our area...sad for the loss of life....

I'll definitely do a tour once it's all done!! Because eventually the finale will be moving my beauty room into my mom's old bedroom (I will gain a walk-in closet!) when my mom moves into the new bedroom (then my old beauty room will become a guest room and overflow crafting space for me!)

Wow I’m a very dry/dehydrated fair skin gal and this is one foundation that isn’t drying for me. I adore it! Question - how is this compared to the doll 10 foundation. I know this is more of a BB cream but as far as working on dry skin? Thanks! 🙂

I love ur hair color outside. Its a purple but almost looks naturally blended. Pretty cool. I hated in my high school days.. Manic panic mishaps lol... My old carpet seen some of those. Im getting the mushroom. Im convinced but that mask line is killer. And i wear glasses. its just a fogged up, foundation smear mess. Thanks for the video

I tried this first time 3 weeks ago, I found 4 shades, mine has absolutely no fragrance! I love it, it has blown me away, for I usually buy a very expensive brand, but heard so many great things about this, I gave it a try ! I dont like a heavy makeup, and this delivers it's very light with fantastic coverage, it's like not wearing any at all, yet any flaws in your skin are gone! Plus I love the way it feels on me, can't say this enough!

I'm curious, how long do you wait after moisturizing and sunscreening before starting makeup?

My general rule of thumb is at least 15 minutes. I do my skin care before I get dressed (and sunscreen is the last step of my skin care), so after that I get dressed, feed the cats, make a little breakfast, check my email while eating breakfast, then sit down to do my makeup. It's usually 15-30 minutes.

I use this foundation and I love it. And your makeup looked great! The fragrance is very pleasant to me and you might try again because if your face was already dry then a couple of times of use would help your dryness. As for the colors, they are made to blend automatically to your personal facial shade. It does this beautifully in the first few minutes. But I did buy the one in the round black container. Perhaps it is just different! Ty for your input.

When I was editing I was thinking it might've earned a B+ :) I think I'm going to wear this a lot in the summer because the little bit of drying won't be an issue and my arms get just a smidge darker in the summer so the shade will be perfect.

The reason your foundation is coming off is b/c you didn't set it with powder. If you feel it's going to be a little oily put some about a tablespoon of corn starch in your loose powder and it will make a world of difference. Anyway, I was thinking about buying this but wasn't sure so thank you for your review.

It's the return of the Strivectin! It's been a hot minute since you used that one. I know you weren't very impressed with the mini eyeshadows from the Ipsy bag but that crease colour is fabulous and it seemed to last pretty well.

Ohh...I seen Tati use this a long time ago on one of her wtf episodes. I’ve always been curious bc she liked it, but hated the packaging. An it does look like it can get messy. Curious to see your thoughts! Edit- you did it so different than Tati, she squeezed the actual packaging, and the way you did it would make it so much less messy!!

The way I do it, you do have to keep tapping it over and over (you can see how often I go back in to get more) but I'd rather that then get it all over - I'm super clumsy! 😂

I know 😩 The wet n wild cushion foundation is my everyday go to and I’m so bummed they’ve discontinued it. This foundation looks very natural and pretty. The only problem is the shade range. I’m not sure the Natural will work for me.

The finish looks more satin than matte from this side, and very smooth. Thanks for the heads up on the heavy fragrance...cute packaging though. :) A shame about only 2 shades too although the one you chose is a very good match. I'm like you in that I don't like to wear too much blush or a dramatic shade of it. I love Milani's baked blush as it has a very soft highlight built into it. Yesterday I bought my 3rd shade called Petal Primavera. It's so pretty!! When I swatched it I immediately thought, Shelly would love this color! :D It's a soft, nude pink with just a hint of glowy highlight. I don't usually go for blushes with any shimmer to them but these are just gorgeous. From your pics on IG it looks like your addition is moving right along. It's so exciting when the walls are there! :-) I had to come back and edit....I just saw that you hit 25K! Congrats Shelly, you deserve it and so much more!! :D

I need to check for that blush!! I stopped by CVS yesterday (and high-tailed it out of there because they've started doing vaccines and there were probably 30+ people waiting in line inside the store.... all I could think of was that I was breathing a cloud of exhalations of strangers.... DANGER WIL ROBINSON lol) but it looked like the entire Milani rack in the store had been emptied. I wonder if they are no longer going to carry Milani??

I wore the Petal Primavera yesterday, it's so, so pretty! A soft pink with that hint of glow without any glitter chunks. Shelly, have you tried the new L'Oreal age perfect blurring primer? I swear it wears exactly like the Strivectin primer does on me and it's only $10.99 at Target! I wore one on each side of my face and by the end of the day both sides looked identical. It's the only one I've found that works as well for me.

@@goow I hope you like it as much as I do! I can't wait for them to increase their shades in the age perfect foundation line (wishful thinking?). I've heard great things about it, there's just not a shade for me to try out currently. If they would release at least one shade lighter and more cool toned than their current lightest shade, I could try it out. They need to add several shades darker as well. The days of minimal shade ranges are over and companies really need to understand that from the get-go. Have a great week!

Hi Shelly, ❤elanie here, 😲 🤣yes I'm a wee bit late with this commentary but I bought this over a yr ago, fell in love with it, tested it thoroughly against all my faves of high end and drugstore and was SHOCKINGLY amazed and pleased with the power of gorgeous this brings to dry, dehydrated mature skin..any Hu put it away, and kept on the hunt as we do lol, any Hu I decided to shop my stash today and put it on again a year later ,my skin being even more nourished, with better texture,and hydrationit AGAIN AMAZED me even more this time. The shade range (2) 😔is sad, yet an easy fix with any color adjuster. I like the white and brown(fonci) from physicians formula. Any way, immediately after putting it on I had to see if u ever did a review on it and here we are, im writing this b4 I even see/ hear ur opinion. Oh and it's very pretty packaging but the whole inside set up just simply sucks😂 Its awfull but a small hassel for such an inexpensive flattering to mature face product...love u much stay safe ur girl always ❤elanie

I was bought one of these as a gift , how long do you soak the sponge for do i use cold or warm water . as i have never had one of these before .

I just run it under water while squeezing it just long enough to saturate it, then I squeeze out as much water as I can and squeeze it once in a towel. Really you just want enough water to make the sponge soft and to prevent foundation from soaking into the sponge, not enough to leave traces of water or dilute the foundation.

I'm going to say no to all natural (though there's no real definition of "natural" as far as regulations go), and they do claim to be cruelty free but I couldn't find any independent verification of that.

Yes, they do still mandate animal testing :( though there have been some promising developments in the past year that might indicate a coming change in Chinese law. It can't come soon enough.

Yep. I bleached the lengths (not the roots) twice from my natural color (about 2 months apart) and since then I just re-do the semi-permanent color (I use a half and half mix of Arctic Fox Purple Rain and Poseidon, which starts out blue-based purple and fades to magenta-purple.

Hi Shelley I first heard about this one from MrsMelissaM and she raved about it (I believe she heard about it from Tati who i don't watch). It does come in more than two shades on Amazon UK (around 5 or 6 I believe which is fairly standard for K beauty BB creams). I did look at it before, but it looked a bit yellow for me in the ivory and wouldn't be light enough for my extreme paleness anyway (as usual with the K beauty complexion stuff). Melissa also has very dry skin, but didn't mention it being drying - isn't it funny how we all seem to react differently to products. I thought it looked pretty good on you, but was a bit dark (Summer shade indeed). Thanks for also reviewing it, as now I don't have so much FOMO lol. My severely dry Winter skin wouldn't like it anyway (plus heavily scented is a red flag for my rosacea and eczema prone skin). You just saved me £12.99. Best wishes.

LOL yeah no need for FOMO on this one! The design is pretty but the product is just OK. I'll wear it some (especially in the summer when the dryness won't matter so much and I don't have as many darker foundations to choose from) but it's not likely to rise into my favorites.
