Without a doubt one of the most genuine guys on RU-vid , I'm a massive fan I've been watching for a good few months now. Nice to see someone get genuinely excited about everything they drive , not like that shit new topgear from Sunday for example. You need to get yourself up to the northeast , lots of interesting cars up here for you mate!
love this review best one on youtube for the s2000. and it really is that awesome of a car as hes making it out to be ive driven alot of cars and i love my s2000 its the first car i had in a long time that i wake up in the middle of the night to drive and look forward to driving it everytime its that great!!!!!!
Same here. I daily mine and I am still not bored of it after 6 years. Everything about the car is about response, light flywheel, light clutch, medium steering with short rack, high reving engine. Love it. The engine and short gear does make it feel like a bike which is very special
Yep, just stay safe on those back roads as well. I was once in a test drive with somebody and they took blind corners too fast to stop in time if there was an obstruction in the lane, such as a slow vehicle, tractor, cyclist etc. I walked away from it. It was an Mx5. I think it was for the better haha
definately, ive learned my lesson on blind corners a long time ago i had alot of really fast stuff everything from 450 whp 240sx to fast motorcycles ive had alot of ppl pull out in front of me in the last 16 years or more. you just gotta be careful and know where it is safe to rip on it. be safe as well bud. enjoy your s2000 9k all day
From the very first time I drove this machine. To now, five years later. It has become no easier to get out of that drivers seat, only harder over the years. Even after multiple twelve plus hour cross country trips, I just simply NEVER know how to end the drive and take the key back from her. Cheers owners.
Jamie, you realy need to buy one never seen jou as happy in any other video mate. The s2000 realy is something else totally awesome piece of engineering!
you will defenetly own your own, I was watching reviews for days, I used to imagine me in the cockpit, going thru the shifts, i even imagined it in my parking spot.. I had to have it, so i got one, and so can you
what i love about your reviews is that you get really excited about all the cars you drive. even if they're not the sportiest cars you can tell how much fun you are having!
This review was a major reason I went out and got myself one of these, and my reactions were very much like yours when I drove it. Thank you! This is the best review of the car I've seen in terms of how it makes you feel
I think when it comes to reviewing cars you have to be the best on youtube your passion for the cars comes through more than anyone else keep up the amazing videos !!!!!!
What a great video about possibly the greatest driver's car in the world! I am so jealous that you've been driving it for so long on those beautiful roads in such glorious weather. I had the exact same reaction as you when I test drove one of these beauties. I nearly cried when the VTEC kicked in. This car is a pure high revving porn! I loved the gearbox in this car it's so short and precise. The car is so pure, so mechanical and fantastically focused, a real bloody race car for the road. Yes it is very cramped and has no cup holder nor any of the modern conveniences and the key looks like it belongs to a shed, but who cares when the driving becomes so involving and fun? I only drove about 5 or 6 miles in it but I am truly convinced that this car is PERFECT in every single way!
I test drove a clean S2000 the other day, haven't been able to stop thinking about it! I know it'll be seriously pushing my first car budget but it's absolutely addictive to drive and they're rising in value. I want one so bad!
Mate, you understand what it's all about, it's the driver skill being rewarded, the power is there if you're able to tap into it, control those revs so its ready to be unleashed! Modern cars with their turbo has the power, but power that comes on so easily is so much less satisfying!
The Honda S2000.... Pretty much the purest (even though the steering wheel IS electric, and post-2006 models have drive-by-wire) driver's car ever, it feels so raw, so light and small. It's pretty much the definition of my ideal car: lightweight, small, not an excessive amount of power, and yet amazing driving position. The only criticism I have for this car is that even though you sit pretty low in the car, because the whole car is so small and low, as well as a non-adjustable steering wheel, sometimes I DO feel like you could sit lower in the car, it's nothing like stepping in a 991 GT3, in which you pretty much feel like you are at the floor of the car. However, you can't really beat how easy this car is to place, it has a pretty nice view out actually, it's probably one of the cars with better visibility I've driven, except for the roof, of course, that gives you a pretty big blind-spot in the back, but that's normal for pretty much any roadster.
This guys Energy makes the video lol. The S2Ks are one of the icons to date Honda really needs to bring these cars back. Almost a decade since they’ve been made and still they hold a top shelf spot in being the ultimate vert for a great price and value.
Also a big bonus how reliable the car is on track. Heavier cars eat through brakes and tires but the S2000 won't. IMPORTANT AP1 ENGINE PREVENTION: Make sure to get ap2 valve retainers and banjo bolts as well as a baffled sump for track use if you drive on semis. If you do that you'll drive to the track, drive the snot out of it, see other cars break down on track, then you will drive home and finish the day with your favourite beverage :)
best review ever of the s2k...it's exactly what I feel every time I drive mine....yeah, you can have a 800hp gtr, a 1000hp supra, but this....it's in another league, another feelings...it can't be explained, you have to drive one with the top down.
Ha ha I love you’re excitement, I thought it was only me who gets that excited about driving an S2000, S2000 Typer integra there’s just nothing like them
Great vid again mate you should get hold of a crx del sol vti I had one 2003 to 2005 with a aem induction pipe on rolling road people were holding the ear lol loved that car 😍
Loved this video especially mate. You get genuinely excited about cars and it's great to see as a fellow petrol head. So, when you buying one then? Haha
i fucking love your reviews mate, you are always so enthusiastic about the car and you are just a genuinely funny dude :) keep it up, also, have you done the BRZ/GT-86? if not, please do :)
haha, Jamie you're the the best car reviewer. I mean it! It's funny how you enjoy the car and talk about it. Honestly , I think with a better camera and better video editing you could make a lot of money on youtube and I hope you will and could buy one S2000 for example :D by the way, How tall are you? I'm a big guy , 195cm , and I'm wondering if I would fit in this car...
Hi mate.Did you get my message from a previous video ?Nice car, you're video's are awesome, you explain things clearly and in a pleasant manner, I enjoy your video's so much. Do you do any repairs or anything like that on your own cars or do you're friends do repairs and mods for you ? ? keep it upI've just subscribed to you're channel as well. First time I've ever subscribed on RU-vid !
robj2e if you get a Z4 you have to get the M. it's the closest you'll get to the s200 because it is also a high strung, high review engine (8,000rpm). it isn't as light as the S2000, it is faster, but has the same overall ingredients, small, nimble, and they key ingredient, which is a high strung high review engine.
