Im 45 years Old. I skated side-by-sides and skateboard up until I turned 30. I always wanted to have a board under my feet again to commute and also have some fun. Maby I’m too old, but I really love this thing and considering ordering one.
You're not too old. I turned 60 last month and I just passed 4100 miles on my GT this morning. Before this, I never owned a skateboard, never did board sports other than borrowing a friend's skateboard a few times as a kid. Ride within your limits and gear up (starting with a helmet!). I caution that this thing is not for most people but for those who can ride it competently, it is a joy to be on this wheel. I am fortunate to live in an area with many miles of beautiful paved and unpaved trails all around. Heading out for my second ride of the day now - truly living the float life!
100% recommend a onewheel regardless of age! Hands down, a onewheel is one of those things that’ll definitely get a smile on your face especially since you’ve skated before too. Cliche to say but fun has no age limit! If you get one, hope you enjoy it as much as me or even more than me! 🤘🏻
I’ve put 550 miles on mine since I’ve owned it. I’ve had it for 4 months, and I love it. It’s a great board, I do think it’s an upgrade over and XR. I’ve even kept up with my friends VESC XR. I’ve hit 28.6mph without nosediving, I can sit at 25-26mph constantly without issue. I have gotten 31.5 miles from a full charge as well, which is great since I’m 180lbs. Never had it ghost, and I’ve only nosedived once (when I first got the board) it’s truly an incredible board. Also for the concave sensor issue, I just used 2 sticky felt pads you use on furniture and it works every time.
Great video! Hate to preach but you should protect your noggin. I’ve heard too many horror stories of people being forever changed by simple falls at low speeds. Float life for life!
Come on bro I have had a one wheel for 8 months and have worn a helmet and wrist guards every day. Gt cost 2500 dollars after tax. Gloves and helmet less then 200 bucks. Going into a coma or breaking your wrist could literally ruin your life. Please grow up and get a helmet. I have never once got on my gt without helmet one single time. Of course I am 53 and have learned many lessons the hard way. I hope you don’t have to through some of the pain I have by making bad decisions. Gt 2250 with tire and 50 more for fender plus10 percent tax equaled 2552 dollars. I got bern hard hat at goodwill for 8 bucks and triple eight wrist guard gloves for 50 bucks. I ride my one wheel everyday to work and take 95 percent of places I go. I have had three minor falls and no injuries so far. I purchased a Mx4 Talaria for 4500 dollars and a full face helmet for 172 dollars both should arrive next week. Because getting seriously injured is to be avoided and is not part of the plan. Maximum fun and minimal serious injury. Regards M Aprill
@@RoyceMyerLee 'm 6'4 and have a size 13 shoe. And even tough its a lot of fun, the Pint is just to small for me and I love that the GT doubled the distance I can go. I get about 27 miles with the GT vs 14 with the X .The X is ok if you cruise around the neighborhood.
@@RoyceMyerLeethe Gt is better why would you want to try the pint x? Gt is the better version and newer version of a one wheel?. Your comment makes it sound like the pint x came after the gt?
@@kilianwozniak1124 LOL damn, that’s pretty wild! You rippin it fast already 🤘🏻 took me a while to get to that speed comfortably. I just cruise lately so that’s pretty solid in my books honestly!
@@RoyceMyerLee thanks! just wanted to get some input from a professional (sorta) i constantly wheel slip and i have to run and slow myself down as i fall off. but i haven't fallen hard yet. im just so excited to have one
