Oh 😮 I've done it with water but it takes month's to grow roots!!! I didn't think to try directly in soil, I had just put them in water because they were pretty like flowers and they stayed nice so I kept them and I was amazed they stayed for so long then I saw roots !!! I was stunned but happy 😊
I have had my plant for three years. It was a gift and thought it was amazing it was still growing after a month, but never ever thought it would still be alive this long. The soil has somehow shrunk down so I think it should be repotted or have soil added. Do you have any advice on what I should do? I am definitely not a plant person, nothing ever lives for me, so am happy this has hung on so long. It must really like sitting on top of my printer in the south facing window here in Northern Ohio. And lastly, would the plant produce more of the beautiful purple leaves (making the plant more dense) if I bury the flowers in amongst the sparse leaves instead of snipping them off when they look dead? Thank you for any advice you can give. I do appreciate it. Thanks.
Oh WOW thank you so much for sharing!! I had to cut back my mother's Oxalis because of legginess, and now I have about 20 single leaf cuttings in water!! I will be placing some in soil, hopefully they root!!🥰
Thanks for sharing, nice video...i love my oxalis! My cat chewed on quite a few leaves and they look terrible so I'm going to snip them off and see if I can grow some roots, like you did. Also, I think I need to transplant mine or possibly divide it in two separate pots...❤
I would have tried that with my O. Brasilenses, but I thought the stems would rot too easily, the way cilantro cuttings do. When this plant is happy, it's just beautiful.
@@johnsonenglengyes could you kindly share an update? i don't even care about bulb just wondering how long until i'll see new little leaves popping up?? tyyyy fellow gardener ❤️🔥❤️🔥
I tried with a few stems in water and they are starting to make roots after some weeks...but now i don't know what i need to do? I can just put them in soil and leave the stems or i need to cut the stems? Coz i saw a video where it made roots and a little new stems and the person put it in soil and then cut the stem letting only the baby stem and root under the surface ..so i don't know what to do now
