I am so impressed and endeared by Mike being _always_ in character while playing _Blades in the Dark._ I hope he enjoys playing Barnaby as much as I enjoy watching him play Barnaby. 🥰

After many beautiful crimes Barnaby's coat becomes so fancy that is the target of another groups heist.

Maybe one day Barnaby will steal a legendary coat made of 79 wolves and one dog.

"My godzilla, is that you?"

I love all their characters, but Mike playing Barnaby is such a delight and so many great quotes, “I was hoping not to taste the sweat of the poor in the air”

I love the difference between how Jane plays Prudence and how she plays Zillah

A D1 is Johnny saying “sure, why not”

I love seeing Barnaby with different characters. With Lilith he’s snarky and eye-rolling over her behaviour and the “nonsense” she goes on about. But he’s just generally scared and respectful of Zillah 😂

Zillah: [Exists] Fans: Oh my god. Oh my god, step on me

The dialogue in these is so great. "I believe you're missing the point." "Mmm, people say that about me."

I hope Barnaby's character arc is just him buying steadily more expensive coats until he's unable to carry anything other than a heavy load into heists because he's too weighed down by diamonds or something.

There was no way out, Jane. Luke was going crack open that combat system one way or another. Had Zillah turned around to go home, someone would have tried to mug her in an alley.

I want Barnaby losing a coat in every adventure to become a running gag!

Oh man. I can't wait to see how Barnaby ruins _yet another_ coat in this caper.

Using a coat as proof of poshness is a fine mike tradition now. It isn't 79 wolves and one dog, but a fine coat is still a great way to get your way.

I was today years old when I realised Zilla's surname isn't "Izacutter" and I feel exactly 200% stupider as a result.

Luke narrowly, but decisively, avoids Jane putting Daphne into a papoose.

The title scans really well with Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone".

I love how Mike was so awkward when Oxventure, but now he’s smashing the role playing aspect of it.

Zillah: “I’m a school teacher now” Luke: “School teacher! What do you teach?” Me: School of hard knocks... 🥊

Not gonna lie their are so many good dynamic duos. Lilith and Barnaby (Ellen and Mike) Kasimir and Edvard (Johnny and Andy) And now Zillah and Barnaby (Jane and Mike) It makes me really want: Zillah and Edvard Kasimir and Barnaby would also be fun. Edvard and Lilith would also be fun one to see. The most professional team though would be Kasimir and Zillah.

I was really hoping Cross' gym would be called Cross Fit. Oh well

I feel like every time Barnaby loses a coat his character’s picture should change the coat too 🤣

Can we please take a moment to appreciate Luke's excellent voice work in this series. Love it

It seems like that Mike has totally found his groove in these types of videos. Yes, Egbert is getting funnier, but wow has he ever hit the ground running with Barnaby, 10/10 well done Sir. I want Barnaby in every session and for him to somehow crossover with the OxVenture crew at Christmas

Daphne seems like such a Dob, and now I wanna know what happens if they pair up and make some badly thought-out plans.

Mike was born to play Barnaby. Doesn't break character once and it's hilarious to watch.

"What's a D1?" It's a marble. My old GM used to roll a marble when he was making decisions and called it "the Die of Fate".

I’m trying to maintain the headcanon that Barnaby is descended from Egbert (which implies that Egbert had at least one child before his transformation), but the more I see, the more I wonder if Cedric Allbright was among Barnaby’s ancestors.

I just realized that Jane is wearing pretty much exactly what her character is wearing. Like she has a steam punk prize fighter outfit just sitting around

Mike has really nailed the Barnaby character :') It's also great fun to watch Jane frequently remind herself that Zillah actually has morals?!

Luke is a tremendous GM. His characters are delightful.

You know, zillah didn’t get her 2 bonus downtime ticks and Barney didn’t get his 1. Maybe they get lumped in at the end.

Luke's voices for his characters are brilliant. Whether it's the Dimmer Sisters, Cross Colburn or the (literally) inimitable Picketts.

Maybe I'm insane, but I've had this idea i can't get out of my head where the group gets word of some cursed woods and beyond it a lake, where at the bottom there is supposedly near infinite treasure. And they have to traverse through, vines lash at them, arrows are sent flying, deadly moonlight beams down, all the while an extremely old cat follows them being friendly. They reach the river, and see 3 graves, to Corazon, Egbert, and Prudence. They dive down, despite the cat trying to meow and convince them to not, and find a mountain of treasure, and another grave. This one made for Dob, with a broken hammer, and a body that looks boneless and like it put up a fight. They come back up with their treasure, maybe the broken hammer itself. An old, extremely pissed elven woman notching several arrows in a bow is in the cats place. "Let go of my friend." If they say no? "Then we'll make you." And the group is on the run from a furious Merilwen and the ghosts of the Oxventurers rising from their graves, severely weaker than they would be due to the near death of magic, but intensely powerful. The only real option at this point is run, probably as Merilwen turns into a grey haired bear. Probably really bad, but I just thought it'd make for a neat near-final heist or one off crossover. To make it more fair, Egbert can totally get confused and accidentally heal the group, or Corazon could be so busy being a jerk while boasting it makes a distraction, or Dobs illusions accidentally trick his friends.

I love seeing Jane with this role, completely different from Prudence. Also, love how different Barnaby is with Zillah, there's a sort of scared respect for her.

And because I have a seven year old, I picture Cross Colburn as the talking t-bone steak from the Storybots episode on nutrition.

Every one of the Oxventure team are great, in all the games I've seen them try so far. But Mike in Blades in the Dark is something next level. The way he totally embraces Barnaby and his eccentricities is sublime.

I hope its a thing later on that there's now a common misconception that Zillah is a needle point school teacher

I think I have to reevaluate Barnaby a little bit. That man with his extravagant approach to crime, his resources and charisma, is basically one vicious or unstable trauma away from becoming a grade A Batman villain! So gogo stress, I want my proper "Barnaby the Butcher"!👏👏👏 And I can't wait for the big fight, Zillah's gonna body a fool!👊😁

I suspect quite a few of us were hoping Zillah might end up in the ring ^_^ I love Daphne, by the way; would be absolutely delighted to see her in future adventures.
