You should check out the actual ONI lore. Like teleportation actually killing and reconstructing what is "teleported", and dupes being used as test subjects, etc.

my biggest gripe is that the duplicants breath in more mass then they breath out. and nearly every process destroys mass. this is intended so you always must expand but it is very stupid.

I always love how hilariously upbeat the Oxygen videos are.

What goes to the asteroid never leaves in my experience. You can use your portals light for different food stuffs, not that arch would care meal worm past it is.

I have played this game before. How it goes is very simple, I start a new colony, I build something, all my people die for reasons I am too stupid to understand, repeat.

I get the feeling these devs in particular will get really pissy about you talking about their game…

The dupe in a box for water can still be done with stress vomiters

The best thing about this game is that there is more than one way to do anything. Want to be a vegan that only use 'renewable' energy to reach the stars? Want to burn crude oil while dinning on raw meat? You can get most things from framing the critters or by making them synthetically. This is a really fun game.

The pee collector reminds me of the discovery of phosphorus. The guy was distilling it from urine and the German Kaiser was very interested in it. So he ordered the german military to pee in one place and poop in another. Isnt history great?

Ah yes, I take a simpler approach of feed my S̶l̶a̶v̶e̶ servants, I command them to reach the surface and capture a strange creature that lives there. That creature is the vole, I let it be for a while in a decent size metal box until it has multiplied faster than a rabbit. Then I enact a culling, as a form of recreation for my servants, to turn those vile voles into strange meat for my servants leaving the eggs for the next harvest. My servants then are allowed to grill the freshly culled meat as they seem to prefer barbecue, if that's what you can call it.

I shall go back to my modded factorio where it takes 18 seperate factories and a SPIDER ROBOT JUST. to produce aaaa rubber ducky! The is one of the 3 games I picked up in the latest steam sale (the others being persona 4 and Witcher 3) and it's very absorbing.

They need to get a license from GW and do a version of this thats just a Big Mek tellyportering(yes this spelling is correct) grots and boyz unto a rokk or space hulk and building a base.

Hate to ruin your wonderful narrative here Arch, but the dupes do poop. When you maintain the outhouses you input dirt and remove polluted dirt. So pretty much kitty litter. And even when you graduate to toilets, it is assumed that there is a blending feature of the toilet so that everything is liquified.

Carbon Dioxide* which is what living things exhale, CO2. Monoxide is when only one oxygen atom is bound to a carbon atom. Dioxide is two oxygens :)

This game is pretty fun. The late game can be pretty complicated with all the systems you have access to, especially if your a knuckle dragger like me.
