This Ozzy Films was shot by Albert Romano at the Palladium New, York City, Cliff Bernstein manager of Metallica can attest to it. He was one of the first people I ever showed the films to. There’s actually been other people that are taking credit for my film, but I’m the one that shot it. I also shot iron maiden, AC/DC Motörhead and Michael Schenker group, all at the Palladium
Fantastic! Looks like Ozzy re-used his outfit from his last Sabbath tour-Never Say Die. The great Rudy Sarzo, Tommy Aldridge, and of course Randy Rhoads. What gem.
The second show was much better than the first! I was there and I saw Randy play five times! this is Randy’s best show and I don’t say it because I filmed it. I say it because he was so warmed up and playing incredible. It was like riding a bicycle to him. I never saw a guitarist, make it look so easy to be so great and Randy was as loud as anything and pure and I remember him smiling right at me as I was second row center at the Capitol theater God bless Randy Rhodes in heaven.
First show I saw Ozzy was at the Capitol theater second show Palladium early show, third show Palladium late show which I filmed! fourth show music mountain upstate New York and the fifth show Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, New York. This was his best performance. Randy’s mother was at the concert I was told, and they were having a lot of fun being on tour with Motörhead the original band.
I was supposed to have two rolls of film that night when I put the second Roll in and it snapped and three minutes later, Randy’s amplifier blew up and they had to stop the concert to put the new amplifier up
I filmed this concert when I was 16 years old front row Loge at the Palladium. I gave the film to Sharon and she never transferred it and probably threw it in the garbage. This is a horrible transfer. It was never professionally transferred.. I also filmed AC/DC from the Palladium the third show of the back and black tour which will be released this year for the 50th anniversary. Sharon hurt the fans by not transferring the film but I’m happy we at least have something but it’s not the crystal clear version like the AC/DC film And it could’ve been. Had I not given her that film and transferred it.
