I guess if you train it that high range (i.e. 100-120) normally these are great. However they are quite expensive vs. other options from Iron master or loadable dumbbells. I see some extra heavy sets for Powerblock also hit the used markets from time to time, at much lower prices.

It’s a very intriguing design. I’ve had almost every single adjustable dumbbell set and combinations of such. For me the powerblocks at lower weights and iron masters at higher weights works best. The biggest disadvantage of something like this and the nuobells or even powerblocks at heavier weights like past 60lbs is placing them in their nested space. The ironmasters I can place them on the stand without worrying about that. For me that was the choice. I do want to try these maybe one day. But for now I’ll stick with my 5-50lb powerblocks then ironmasters to 100+. Great review btw.

There's a good gap in the market for some cheap adjustable dumbells with a simple mechanism that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

They're on my list of dumbbells to get I just got to save a few months paycheck

These look fantastic but I can't bring myself to get another adjustable DB set right now. Guess I'll stick to my Powerblock Elite USA 90s with stand. Took 3 years but got the whole Powerblock set for $553

Do you need the cradle or can you adjust on the fly on any flat surface?

You say it's in 5lb increments, but the printed numbers are every 10lbs. Can you please explain where the 5lb adjustment is?
