I'm just on my last 4 months of c&g in plumbing once I pass im going for my nvq and we have been bending, I really enjoy and hope I get as good as you are! Videos are great really helpful I find them, keep going great content.
I do like bends & the challenge of doing more than 2 bends on a run, always great feeling when it works! Like the way once done, trying to fit it in place was tricky, I’ve had that where having done complex series of bends, then it won’t fit round the others! All I’ll say is, “couplers are my friends”!😁
Well done Pete! Top marks to u for pulling that off live online for us, I wouldn’t try that in front of another plumber let alone live online!!! I had to watch it TWICE! you’re an inspiration to the younger generation in the trade
Love the reference to Sparky! I'm a sparky starting in refrigeration well past 45y. Just knowing it can be done is most of the effort in any task! Great vid!
Hi Mate, long time viewer, first time commenter-( mechanical (HVAC) & gas plumber from Victoria, Aus..... as always great work & awesome content👍🏾 I like the depth of socket that the hammer-driven swage tool provides... but a set of lever- expanders is an absolute MUST! the drill driven version also works nicely too, I’m told..... the Hilmor -type benders that you guys seem to like look like they give a nice bend, they also look a little cumbersome given the dual formers and the the fact that the shoes are removable... but a nice bend nonetheless! Keep up the great work!
That was amazing , great to watch picked up some pipe benders the other day as fancied having a go . Ps I am not a gas engineer mainly work in an office 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Spot on and well done PB ...Always good to see a swaging tool in use 👍 but rather an expensive hammer for a heating engineer 😂( Estwing I think ? ) maybe try using it on the side between claw and strike face and small rapid taps like a pneumatic hammer always found it helps ... but still loving your enthusiasm fella
followed your guide, fix points ,and spare pipe in the clips, then messure from fixed points ,and bend to the messurement ,worked sweet, before your way ,i made mess, waste pipe ,use do ,one 90 only ,and use fittings ,as not work out how to add 2 or more bends on a pipe, now i know, thanks, save money now on fittings and burning time ,plus less leaks potential ,once i trust my tape messure and use fixed points ,it became a lot simpler ,as cant go wrong ,did forget to turn pipe right way for next bend and i made it wrong ,but i was ,because i was more scared of the bend line ,and forgot of its physical shape on the job,got that learnt now too,i prefer to bend now ,more than add lots fittings, isome places you cant burn gas ,so bend pipe through a hole, round corners and into next room, then carry on ,behind baths too, nasty place to work,so bend most of the run ,on first fix, slide under bath ,tight space, lot spiders, cobwebs, only do hot cold water, never gas ,waste pipe easy ,got friend who is gas safe, corgi ,well you help so many people and doing a great job, teaching ,all over the world, your vid on soldering was exellent too, nice clean solder, fitting,i copy your style too, mine were bit messy ,over solderd, but i wanted it water tight ,but now i know ,solder on the outside ,not help to keep the water in ,only the walls of the joint ,faces,if you ever got time ,could you do a lead pipe join, had staffy bite a lead pipe in out side toilet and leaked badly, teeth marks, some one said can use a lead lock, compression fitting ,not sure ,water is off now ,need old school plumber ,sweet lead
Haha I did comment down below on another video that your videos are keeping me going through Ramadan it’s the first day of our fasting so yeh it gives me something to do so thank you 🙏
Amazing! Just a quick question, I was taught at college that swaging copper weakens the copper. We was advised not to do it. Would help out massively if they are talking a load of crap but have you ever had any issues with this in the long run?
Good effort and well done for doing it live. Why do you have the spintool in your metabo drill bit still used the hammer 🔨 swage tool. I don't do swaging but keep meaning to give it a go. Which do you prefer? Spin tool swager or the manual hammer action tool?
Sorry - very late seeing this one but why do you swage the connections at the boiler instead of solder or press connection? I am not a plumber but very interested. Great videos by the way.
