Welcome to the Ocean Cruise Terminal here in smelly Southampton; the place where we board P&O Cruises' Britannia for a 14-night cruise around the Mediterranean (where the better weather is). We'll get lost on this beautiful ship as we try to find the important locations; muster station to buffet to cabin. I spoilt myself with a balcony cabin this cruise so I can take in and absorb that Mediterranean heat as we travel in style. We'll also meet our Captain, Martin Allen, for some introductory words and those important weather updates. So sit back, relax, and let the cruising commence!

I've only ever been on one cruise where someone else has vlogged it and I spent the whole time I was watching their series trying to spot myself in the background... so I hope you do the same 😂

Like the new opening to the blog. I can remember sailing on Britannia when she was new. A balcony cabin this time, I always choose a balcony cabin when I go cruising. Great blog 👍🏼

Thanks, I'm trying to go a bit more professional these days 😂 I imagine she would have looked great all brand new. I am somewhat jealous, it depends on the price for me. Sometimes it's been double the price for a balcony so in that case I stick with inside 😐

Looking forward to this mainly to see if it’s too hot for me to be going the med in July/Aug. I’m doing the trip you did last Jan 2023 on Iona same room 10122 but in November. First time solo. What hard shell case are you using ? Most I’ve seen look like one trip wonders then broken.

You're probably looking around 30°C average western med that time, going closer to 35°C as you head towards Greece, although it did reach 43°C in Greece when I went a few years ago so seems to vary a lot. That sounds great, great ship to cruise on as well! November you're probably looking around 20°C which is better than British temperatures 😂 The case is from Antler. Can't comment on it's quality really as only used three times but seems to be doing ok so far!

@@CaptureCruising it was my first time with RC since 2006 when I sailed on Jewel. It’s a noticeable step up in terms of food & service compared to P&O. Next one is with Celebrity at end of the month for a few nights!

It's been a fair while then! I do remember RC being a bit fancier which you'd expect for the higher price point. Sounds great, you'll have to let me know how Celebrity is, I'm trying them for the first time next Feb 🤞

We really enjoyed our Celebrity experience on Silhouette last weekend, we’ve already booked to go on Apex next year! Very much like RC but more ‘grown up’ entertainment & activities. Nice food & loads of choice in the buffet too!
