Great video Matthew. Just disembarked Iona myself this morning and what an amazing ship she was. P&O have really excelled themselves with this one ... stylish & classy throughout. Can't wait to go on her again, she was beautiful.
Thanks Matthew, been following you on the maiden cruise. We're (hopefully) on a twice-rescheduled cruise to Norway next year so you have whetted our appetite! Iona looks wonderful.
Nice to see you back with your informative and succinct commentary. Many could learn. We are on Britannia next month and Iona next April, can't wait to resume cruising. Keep the vlogs coming and thank you
Excellent presentation, clear and concise. Very helpful, thank you Matthew! Going next month so will take some of your advice to book early for certain dining’s.
Iona does indeed look fabulous, I am sooo looking forward to going on her at the end of January & look forward to your future vlogs. I really enjoy your videos, thanks for doing them 👍
Excellent video Matthew, very detailed. We've booked for the Canaries in March 2022. It will be our first P&O experience as we've sailed mostly with Cunard and a few times with Princess. It'll be interesting to see how we cope on such a huge ship.
Oh it’s so good to see you back on board! I’ve just had a short cruise on the Disney Magic uk staycation (my vlog is nowhere near as good as yours), it’s really whetted my appetite to be at sea again. I’m on QM2 in December, all being well. Anyway, thank you for this charming vlog. Iona does look gorgeous, but a tad big, but I’d absolutely cruise on her.
Enjoyed the tour and now even more excited for our cruise in October thank you. Only thing missing for me was info/sneak peak of kids clubs. Where do you think the sail-aways will happen now out of interest?
Thank you so much! Ah yes apologies for that but I couldn't film in those areas and I feel other youtubers would be able to do them in better detail! Good question, the sailaway from Southampton was near the infinity pool at the back of the ship as was the entertainment on the Island of Iona so I'd assume there! Can't say for certain as we didn't have a 'proper' sailaway but hopefully you find it useful!
Just had 16 nights on board Iona. Magnificent ship but it took me 2-3 days to find my way around. Disappointed that some venues were closed and some shows were cancelled "for unforeseen circumstances". I definitely would not organise another cruise at the mercy of a positive Covid test, having to disembark, isolate and then organising repatriation to the UK. Its not worth to risk & I feel so sorry for any crew, passengers or entertainment guests that were subjected to that criteria. On the plus side the food was excellent and the staff impeccable. Onboard entertainment that did go ahead was very enjoyable
