Just like to point out a m110 would be ideal for UW. You can engage targets effectively past 500m and then bounce out. Just like in Afghanistan

For end of the world I'd get a double barreled 12ga. Once out of ammo, it can be converted to a muzzle loader

it doesn't matter. a 9 is a 9 is a 9. hk, glock, whatever. the minutae is exactly that. as for rifles, civilians don't get to RTB in a civil war. your house is flattened and you are "deployed" until the war is over. so get one. maybe get some quality replicas so you can familiarize yourself with the controls of other weapons, but you can only carry one gun into battle.
