I got a new switch and installed it. The brake pedal became more touchy and responsive when braking which was unusual. The brake lights only come on when i pushed really hard and the errors still popped up P0504. I'm lost at this point
I have a 2006 Hyundai sonata and got the same code ..had the break switch replaced and the break lights stayed on and killed my battery and still to this day the code comes off and on along with the ESC off light and my bf had to rig tape and a piece of plastic because they said it's not making contact with anything . I guess the plastic piece he rigged on the break pedal helps it make contact so my break lights come off and on when I hit the pedal. Idk it's weird lol
Starting to wonder if it's the fuse because after we replaced the switch the check engine light went off for that code for two weeks but he didn't realize when he changed the break switch out that my lights had stayed on .. they never stayed on before that just threw the check engine light for the code and even locked my gear shift in park and then I kept pushing the break and got it out of park and got it home and then it wouldn't go past neutral to get back in park lol I was like what in the F! Bit dealing I had a shift lock button thank God for that or I would have been screwed! It hasn't locked up since ewe changed the switch but like I said the light still comes on for the code
@@LuisCarlos-fy6rq try checking the fuse, in fact always check the fuse first anyway its just easier, if not then the bulb, and if that's no good... then your wiring is bad somewhere, which is the least likely and most painful thing
