Got P1116 & P1103 fault codes? These relate to pre-cat lambda (o2) sensor in the exhaust. Here we change the front lambda sensor on a 2004 Seat Lean Cupra R 1.8t BAM. Can be got at from the top by removing charge pipe and other obstructions, can also be removed from below. Similar for VAG VW / Audi / Seat / Skoda and many other cars.

Just had my engine management fault checked by a friend as my engine management light was on ( yellow / amber) ... Seat Leon ma 3 150 tdi ,,,, it was showing this was the cause. He said it could be just a glitch. Been using the car but the light hasn’t come back on as of yet .... Anyway he cleared the codes but did say if it comes back on obviously that part needs to be replaced .. Great video 👍🏽😀

LOL, I came across your thread again. My 1.8t has thrown all sorts of codes for the pre-cat. The latest is the P1103 and it's causing a CEL to be thrown. It's also causing the car to not boost fully. So, I'm going to finally get my pre-cat O2 replaced. I've also thrown the 16514 in the past. I hope the replacement fixes my issues. I was using some VAGCOM logging software yesterday and noticed measuring blocks 031 through 033 were not moving at all! I'm almost certain my o2 is bad after all these years. I already confirmed the wiring is good.

I had a P1116 Bank 1, Sensor 1 heater circuit open on my Audi a4. I changed the lamdasonde, cleared the code and for a while it seems to fixed the problem. 6 weeks later a new code appears P1103 Bank 1, Sensor 1 Heater circuit performance too low. This was a new lamdasonde and it shouldn't break after few weeks. So wonder if there is some other issue that could make the lamdasonde flashing a code.

Great video! Do you think you would need the breaker bar to loosen this up? I've been getting the 11103 and I'm pretty sure I need to get this replaced. My car will sometimes start to run really rough and backfire and sound like crap for a little bit. Then it comes back and seems fine even with the check engine light on the whole time. I also think I need to get my EVAP / N80 purge valve replace because the last two times I've filled up it had a very hard start and took a few cranks and hitting the gas. It will run really rough for a minute or so and then it's fine and starts fine after that. Based on my research I believe I need to replace this or do some more test with VAGCOM even though block 070 or 072 showed it open and close the valve fine on the N80. But it might be loosing pressure. Sorry to go on a rant but I've got codes on the brain. Hope to get this P1103 fixed but I'll probably need this pre-cat sensor.!
