Yay! I'm glad you got around to checking this out! So, SO good! I'm looking forward to your album review as well. And.....let me just say that thier live stage performance for their p-side "It's Alright"(Show Champion) has actually dethroned their "Rainism" cover as my favorite choreo they've done. Would you consider doing a reaction video to that one too?

4:34 The one reaction i related to the most 🤣 love me a good bridge! i appreciate piwon for always giving us bridges. That’s a good way to describe Kpop. I feel like when we talk POP music like in the usa, we think popular music from any type of artist, or music that is associated with the genre but not necessarily popular and by that i mean the different sub-genres of pop like synth-pop or pop rock.. In Jpop, the term also stands for japanese popular music and that’s how most people use it. And because the japanese music market is just as huge as the usa, the music is very diverse with lots of genres, sub-genres and artists from all backgrounds and careers. I feel like when I think of Kpop, I don’t really think of any of these things, I mostly think idol and idol groups songs. Because that’s the dominant form of music in the korean music market. Whereas in japan (because the two have idol cultures), idol music, or vocal & dance groups' music isn’t as dominant in jpop, despite being just as saturated as in kpop. Kpop as a “vibe” aligns more with my definition of it, even if I knew that might not be the most accurate way to describe it 😅

I've long been of the belief that "K-Pop" as an industry isn't so much about a specific music genre (I.e. korean popular music) as much as it is just a full blown sub-culture that *includes* music of multiple genres. In my mind, Korean pop music is a very different thing to the idol-lead K-Pop. Sure much of the pop music in Korea is made by K-Pop artists, but not all of it by any means. That's why you have so many artists that create popular music in Korea but you don't call them K-Pop you know? And I think the same can be applied to similar industries in other countries. It's not easy to do for most bc the automatic association when you hear "kpop" or "jpop" is the music and think that's all it is but for me at least my first thought is of idol culture. And thats what's so interesting about piwon for me bc they are idols but there's just a certain vibe, a certain feel about them that makes them seem like they're not an idol group and are at the same time. Idk it's so hard to explain but it's very cool

I am pretty sure she does in her own time but just not on the channel. Since she is such a big fan of theirs. It was through her I discovered them 😂😂 and I was hooked.
