P38 Fails Again 🤬 - Caravan Jobs - Custom Defender Dash -TD5 Inlet - This Week at the Workshop 

I just can’t get my head around electrical issues and really don’t know how you do it without resorting to alcohol 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏻

Them vp37 injection pumps are known to leak when they get old. I have a bmw and a p38 both same m51 engine. The bmw drains back to the tank overnight. I had to put a 1 way valve on the pipe to the pump although no visible leaks. There is a video on youtube if a guy changing the end seal in situ which looks like the area yours is leaking. The video is on a vw audi 1.9tdi engine which uses the same pump.

Hi I feel your pain with the P38 I have 2 of them although mine are V8's. Many of the electrical problems on a P38 can be attributed to the connector blocks in both footwell kick panels, they can get very green and dirty. Many people cut out the blocks and solder the wires together permanently. As far as wiring diagrams go RAVE workshop manual is your best bet. Good luck with it all. Jim.
