ET346 should be the SELCAL code. I fly the Blackbox regularly so I'm pretty much used to its weird behavior. It will spool down on rotation so what I normally do is pitch it up higher with a faster than normal rate. And it climbs really slow. You gotta wait for it to reach the magenta marker on the speed tape for it to increase the rate of climb. I recommend hand flying it until at least 5000 or higher otherwise it will go crazy and stall the aircraft trying to follow the flight director. On descent the flight director just goes wacky as well so I just manipulate the V/S to match with the purple descent profile dot. Flight controls are sensitive so no over controlling more than necessary. All in all the BBS A330/A340 takes some getting used to and once you learn its odd patterns and behavior, you can fly it normally just like the Aerosoft. Just takes some patience.
Matt since you got the a340, it would be awesome to recreate the world's longest passenger service from Singapore to Newark. SQ stopped this service a couple of years back but it would be awesome to see this on a sim

Hey Matt, great video, you've only gone and made me buy the A340 :P Just wondering if you were using a soundpack, as the engine sounds you were using were sounding a lot better than the default ones (I was using the Virgin a340-600 but I'm pretty sure they both have the RR Trent 700 engines).

***** He may be right. How can you fly for 9 hours on auto pilot at 40,000 feet straight without compensating for earths downcurve? After 150 miles of flying on auto pilot, the earth should have curved down 2.803 miles, but the plane never changed altitude.
+79Sarwar 40,000 is calculated from ground distance, so whenever the plane goes ABOVE it, the plane WILL auto compensate. The pilot was obviously joking...
Sam Host I understand he may have been joking..... However, he cannot be lying to me that earth is 25,000 miles in circumference!! This is fact no? If earth is not 25,000 miles roughly in circumference, my education system has failed me. He told me that from the runway he can see Reunion Island from Mauritius Island which is 149 miles away. If the earth was round, the island should be 2.803 miles below the horizon making it impossible to see the island right? ------- Check this picture of reunion island looking out to mauritius island. The distance is 149 miles and the mountains should not only be 2.803 miles under, BUT leaning backwards. If I could list all the Piloting errors in this flight Matt would drag himself back to school immediately you simply Cannot expect the Airbus to perform as expected if she is not flown as she expects to be :) Thrust levers in wrong position .. and in Open Climb, while complaining about climb rate and acceleration ?? There are several computers built into this aircraft to sort it all out for you .. why try and be a "clever pilot" ? come one Matt .. RTFM ???
Before you go cri rising videos, maybe you could make your own so we know that you aren't just chattin' rim and then once you start, you'll see that everything in this video was correct, and your are just here to spread bs and cause annoyance 😌 I'm glad you released some jealously, however- maybe you won't be so uptight anymore. What are your compiuter specs Matt? I've got a i7-4790 with rx 480 8gb card and 16 gb RAM and I can only get 1080p in this game when recording. How do you get it so good?
And could you also do another Canadian flight? Maybe Toronto to Halifax in the Air Canada A319? Theres a scenery for Halifax just search Simaddons CYHZ and you'll find it :D I have it and its great!
I love the A340 but this seems like a horrible add-on. The sounds a bad, many buttons don't work, the systems don't seem to be accurate and they didn't even design the cockpit lights correctly. These look like CRT screens and not LCD.
Because that is the Oman Air tail, it's a Boeing 737-800 with winglets which is what most of Oman Air's fleet is made up of, and it's the only Oman Air flight to arrive in Abu Dhabi.
Nice video Matt. I think the simple fact of having to spend ages manually entering the route removes a bit of the appeal. Not so much of an issue in an A320, but a long haul aircraft! It's a shame because I really love the idea of an A340 in P3D.
Matt, Could you please fly a 747-400? I was thinking u could use the P3D v3 iFly 747-400 KLM and i thought u could maybe do KLM785 from Amsterdam to St. Maarten I hope it is possible :D and also your videos are the best! I love the A340!

Hi Matt i've been lurking for awhile and watching many of your videos which I enjoy alot. I used to sim alot and used to fly a bit RL anyway the simming died off and the RL flying stopped when I left school as this was a RAF cadet. Anyway watching all your vids has gotten my love for simming back and just actually took delivery of a new chillblast system so I will be back in action soon. Keep up the good work and may I possibly put a request in of doing TK52 IST-NRT as I flew on this for real last november cheers again.

Hi matt, after recently getting a legit copy of the blackbox a33/40, I'm having problems with the brakes sticking on which is causing me not to be able to taxi properly, any ideas?
Holy shit, this braking action after setting autobrake-med is to heavy. Thats pretty unrealistic by the blackbox-guys. Good video Matt, but I think you have to do a bit more manual flight-training ;)
