With Dave's tendency to pull his Irons to the left, it would be interesting to see how changing his lie angle to 2deg Flat affects his ball flight and the Pull left. I suspect that it would straighten out the Pull increase his Spin, increase the total height and his AoD, which would potentially be a game changer.

i’d like to see you repeat this test and just hand him the club and let him hit the ball without the differences in the clubs. I think talking to him before he hits the ball May effect the results. I would wait till the end of the video to discuss The differences in the clubs and how it affected the results.
I hit the Callaway Apex Pro irons and I'll say, they are a beautiful blend of playability and forgiveness. About 1000USD for the irons. For the price, I'm seriously considering picking up the Takomo 201s or even just send it with the 301MBs, heads only, and then having them fit properly by a local pro.
Test against Srixon, but with a progression set mixing in the different versions. That’s what is intriguing about the Srixon set the ability to take customization to that next level.
Is there much forgiveness in Mrs Harrisons shoes ??? Just watched Fitzpatrick nail a ping 9 iron into the green to pick up a nice cheque , would like to ping latest offering , always hold their price aswell 👍
I'm a 15 hcp and recently considered 101's but bought 5-AW in the P790 with the DG 105 bds stiff shafts and my game has come on with them. I absolutely love them. All 7 irons cost me £903 brand new with midsized grips already fitted. Bargain. 😊
The 101Ts are beautiful irons. I got mine in about a week ago and they look awesome and play exceptional as far as accuracy. I do feel they play about 5-10 yards shorter than other irons but the accuracy is outstanding.
I'm always down with saving 650 quid over a couple of yards anytime ,I just don't like being robbed when a very similar brand can do very much the same for a lot less . And always remember the golden rule of the man with the club in his hand creates the good and bad shots .
Chris I think you must include the new Cobra blades that you tested with James I think they're nice looking and probably the equal Of the options you have mentioned.
I see a lot of great reviews for Takomo but are you an ambassador for Takomo or is this review unbiased? After reading the Ambassador role on their site I'll look at any reviews skeptically.
$1400 p790 vs $600 Takomo for essentially the same results I also find it interesting that titleists have chosen to sue Costco over maybe Takomo for copyright
I got fitted and hit great with the cobra king forged tec…very similar to the p790 that I originally wanted. I love the Takomo look though and mostly the price point but…here is the catch. The shaft that was fitted to me isn’t available through Takomo so to get the 101t with the right shaft I would be only saving 100 dollars compared to the p790 or p770. So now I’m really torn. What do you recommend I do here? Are the 101t’s really THAT good???
They were making great irons ten, fifteen years ago, even longer,, biggest thorn for me is the whole conforming groove thing which doesn't really affect a range warrior/recreational golfer like myself. The absolute longest carrying missile launchers I own are also the ugly clubs...Adams xtd cross cavities with noodle shafts (KBS c taper 90 regular flex). The four iron has old school 3 iron loft but the high trajectory and length are ridiculous, hard to control too. Just too ugly, lol! Off point but still,, newer doesn't always mean better, right Matt Fitzpatrick?
What about the Obsidian graphite shafts that they have for their irons? I am a mid handicapper and love the series. I have just starting to gain interest in the Takomo from this and now Graphite iron shafts.@@ChrisDennisGolf
Hi Chris, great video. The one thing stopping me buying these is the lack of shaft options. I use the Project x 6.0 rifle shafts. A shaft comparison would be great. i.e which KBS shaft is the most similar. cheers
I purchased a set of 101t clubs. Very disappointed. Lost 15 yards average vs my Mizuno ZX clubs. Something is not right with the heavy promotion of these clubs.
I dont know anything about your Mizuno ZX clubs, but the lofts of the 101Ts are more traditional lofts. The regular 101s have the stronger lofts. Maybe your Mizunos have stronger lofts?
