Trying out the latest and I must say the most similar scent to the original Shelton Old Spice Cologne from the good folks at Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements. This has been one of the most requested scents for me to try in a while.

Wasn't a subscriber (or a wet shaver) when this originally was posted. Huge congrats to your daughter! A B.Sc. is a tough slog and takes dedication. I've been an environmental consultant (specializing in contaminated sites management) for 20 years and still love it! No iron ring, but work with those who sport one. Now for the P.Eng..... Love your channel & content. The non-shaving stuff is different from everyone else and just adds that little bit of extra interest. Keep it up!

Congrats on your daughter's success! College is great as long as you know what career you want to pursue. I made that mistake years ago when I got a business degree because I felt pressured into getting through college as quickly as possible. The only offers I had were for outside sales positions that I knew I wasn't cut out for. Fortunately I got a retail job soon after graduation and have stayed with the same employer for almost 19 years. My advice to young people thinking about college is to find what you want to do with your life and see how college can help achieve that goal.

Currently studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering here in Scotland, U.K in my final year, but considering taking the Masters option and doing an extra year. Going to try move to California after I graduate! P.S I bought a Wilkinson Sword D.E Razor and the Astra Blade works quite well in it for me, tried to Wilkinson Sword shaving soap and that's decent, very barber shop scenty (haha). Prefer the Proraso Green with the Proraso Green Pre-Shave though! Menthol and Eucalyptus is a great combo, not tried many of them but I love those so far!... Also got a Real Shaving Company Shaving Cream for £1 in a tube from a local shop, decent and gets the job done, no thrills!

I just want to say that PAA's Cold Spices pairs 'incredibly well' with the antique 1930's fragrance "Early American Old Spice" and IMO, its closer to that amazing, classy original Shulton Early Old Spice than it is to the Shulton men's Old Spice that we all know. I have two vintage bottles of Early American Old Spice and that is my very favorite Old Spice version. It's got some extra 'classy' vibe to it that I think is a slight step up from the regular Old Spice we all know. PAA's Cold Spices seems to have a 'touch' of that certain something that is in the Early American Old Spice. I'm not sure what it is, but if you smelled them side by side you would understand what I'm saying. PAA's Cold Spices is really nice stuff that is able to be used with any version of Old Spice colonge from the "Early" to the Shulton men's to even the modern reform. Cold Spices will work well with all the Old Spice versions.

A college degree is good, but you give me someone with a degree and no work history, or a high school grad with 5 or 6 years of work experience, I'm taking the experience all day long. Stirling's version is so close to the original Old Spice it's scary😊 Gave up on getting a Wolf Whiskers brush a long time ago😣 so many other artisan brush makers out there with fantastic skills and more readily available. At 5.00, I had that same smile when I used the soap and AS. PAA's is still the closest to the real thing, I too have a last 1/2 bottle of the original Shulton left and while there is a very slight difference, namely a little lighter on the anise and cinnamon (my guess is to avoid spice burn for those with slightly sensitive skins) and yes, it last for about 6-9 hours depending on the environment you are in. Perspiration of course will shorten its life, but in an AC environment, it's going to last the whole day. Hope Douglas makes the solid cologne for this. 😁

Cool, I was waiting for a review on that soap. I got a tube of the Original Old Spice shave lotion from India and I was not impressed. And congrats on the graduation. I attended my own daughters' graduation a couple of years ago. Moments to be proud for sure!

James I have a Merkur 39C, the sledgehammer. It's a slant, with a feather blade it's the most diabolical instrument in my arsenal. I only use it if I've gone 4 days or more without shaving.

IMO, the best clone of the Original Shulton Old Spice. Love Cold Spices , and the added touch of menthol makes it even better than the Original. Great shave good sir!
