Suggestion lang po, kung maari gumamit ng spray bottle para sa soapy water instead of soapy rag, kasi hindi momakita kung may leak o wala dahil puoro bubbles and soapy rag. And to get more accuracy on your systems charge use a refrigerant scale. And finally i think you just lost most of your refrigerant charge because you removed your low side hose first then your hign side hose. The water turning into iceis good but a thermometer should have been better to check if your system is running good already.
Excellent tutorial video!!! just a suggestion to include safety precautions/reminders before working on refrigeration system/equipment. (eg..eye/hand protection environmental concerns)... Safety First! work safe... Thanks!
As a Student of Bachelor of science and Industrial Technology major in Refrigeration and air conditioning.salamat po.
Good job engnr. Suggest lang e under pressure mo muna using nitrogen gas if availabe for leak test. Huwag yung under vacuum for leak observation. At yung high pressure gauge RED dont connect while system under vaccum masisira mechanism ng dial gauge ng HP gauge. Goodwork.
Charging the system means everything is done, make it most of the non condensible gas is out make it twice or three time purge it with nitrogen, pulled vacuum below the atmospheric pressure, observed the needles for any rise of temp. The problem using a analog gauge manifold you can,t tell the micro leaks, takes so many pressure to have the analog needle to move up, so i preferred a digital manifold. Well, depend on the training school and the instructor, the quality of the teachings depend on what the laboratory equipment do they have, and qualified instructor. With the instructor she should not allowed to present an actual presentations without proper PPE’s like gloves and goggles. I assumed she replaced the capillary tube too to make it thoroughly clean and working system. After vacuuming observed the system for any rise of temp, if anything goes amp doesn’t mean you have a leaks, till 10 minutes, everything sealed, proceed to charging and please based it to the manufacturer recommendation total charge using a weight scale. Clamp can be use during charging but that’s not the all around ways of determining the right amount of charges. The problem sometimes for scavenging most important parts is we don’t know the conditions of the winding and mechanically good, mean the bearing didn’t seized up, other than that, just for a sake of presentation doesn’t matter. What is good for R134A during the off cycle or the system satisfied, you can see the saturation P/T almost the same, our shop utilized this refrigerant for the new service tech presentations. One thing guys is during the brazing process you can use nitrogen at around 9psi to purge soothe as a product of brazing, this dirt becomes a problem and ended up to the capillary tube and clogged, after do a double or three nitrogen purge, and vacuum. That things work but are you sure system is cleaned and the heart of the system the compressor had a good winding, hope you did these or one day the technicians have to do a call back, lost of money. You guys is good just do the proper process, school if they have a budget for more equipment and qualified instructor attract more student. Please don’t be sensitive about the suggestions and comments from the viewers, we are on this field for a long time and what we suggest makes you better technicians because out there or the real world is way too different from what you are doing on the shop. Women’s are the technician of the future, men becomes a plain housewife, women rule the world…yeeaaahhh
R600a flammables refrigerant,
