I love these MX13 in my Daf CF.. i'm on 1.3 million Km (807782miles) now.. still working great.. month in month out.. never had a major problem yet.. suitable for my kind of haul that never exceed 30ton(66 thousand lbs) GWT...
131,000+ and no issues. People need to realize that this is a 13 liter engine not a 15 liter like the Cummins X15 so of course there not gonna perform the same. I'd like to see the Paccar MX up against engines in the same category and see which performs better.
I understand that you may not like your engine or the choice that you made back then but if it's paid off as in your own the vehicle and you made your money back on top of it and you're making more run it until it dies especially right now with this virus nonsense
@Martin Skoda The DAF MX-13 is like a lady: treat her well and she will love you. If you don't know how to get along with ladies and you prefer to be a cowboy buy a Cat or a Cummins.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
Honestly it is the Drivers fault 75 % of the time I bought a 2014 KW with a paccar engine 710,000 miles having no problem I see it all of time Idling all day and night at Truck stop no engine can handle the abuse.
@@juanflores2882 If you wanna be a cowboy buy a Cummins or a CAT. It's the lady who prefers to be handled with care and the MX-13 is a lady. Her love in return is to let you make money by a higher mile per gallon rate, less noise and a smooth drive. So buy a DAF MX-13 (PACCAR MX-13).
I just bought two 2015 Pete 579 trucks at an auction for less than $6,000 for both, owners got tired of dealing with the egr issues. I might put different engines in or part them out. Maybe turn one into a custom rig with an old school Big Cam.
As a licensed diesel mechanic I found this to be the engine that lives in the shop. Sales reps really push these cheap engines knowing they'll make it back in parts . Terrible engineering and design with the rats nest of lines and the compressor failures that have the potential to destroy the engine. The engine is riddle with emissions issues. Mx 13 fan boys are full of sh*t.At this point id consider the Mx and the Maxx force engines to be twins .
Hello I have a Duff 2020, Vertard, 3-stroke engine and 500,000 kilometers, the valve stem broke and I replaced it. Why is the valve stem not designed well, and I have seen several cases that have this valve problem.
This engine is a DAF engine and is called after PACCAR, mother of DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt. This engine is completely developed by DAF. See this video at 1:00 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xu0UbB3ZlNw.html This is Dutch technology from Brainport Eindhoven the Netherlands.
my boss keeps buying trucks with these engines. while i dont think they are a terrible engine, they are undersized for what we are doing. he thinks they will save him fuel. when our gross weight exceeds 100K lbs and we are constantly going up hills, they dont really get that great of fuel mileage.... your foot is constantly on the fuel pulling steep grades loaded.
See how the Brazilians love this MX-13. Especially you can see that at 3:00. A DAF truck pulling up hill two loaded trailers including another MB truck with two loaded trailers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NeDvNjfwWF8.html
Can someone help in lame man term ? My Paccar mx 13 keeps giving me "EGR Delta Pressure " code. Then it gives me, "Engine Derated ". I've tried so many repairs, spent so much money, with no solution. Im tired & broke from all the repairs I've tried...
Are you still having problems? EGR, according to Google, is Exhaust Gas Recirculation, which, presumably, is part of the controversial emissions package that everyone complains about. Did the new delta sensor fix the problem?
That problem has recently been fixed. But now I'm getting "J1939CM DPF Lamp Data". Once again, repairs have broke me, so if anyone can help with this code. It'll be much appreciated...
@@robertninajuarez I did some googling. It could be due to a faulty Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) sensor that could be needed to read the level of DEF in a tank.
Its a pretty simple process, all you need is a 8.5x11 sheet of paper and a marker once you have those two things ready you write the words "for sale" on that piece of paper and put it in the window. Then it's as simple as buying another truck with the 605hp cummins x15 in it.
@@jemhadar5029 it’s been very good engine I do myself preventative maintenance repairs i take the truck to the dealer once a year just to get advice , it’s Paccar Mx 13 2018 very nice ride, lovely truck trust me,
@@geoestrada5001 k. Thanks. Ya I’m thinking about getting a pacaar but I just keep hearing bad things about the engines from 2014-2018. Good to know you’re not having issues. How many miles do you have now?
Paccar: Good fuel efficiency, wider power band, is 13 liters so you got less weight and it can cruise as low as 1,100 rpms with no problem. Is not meant for cowboy driving and the stupid crappy emission system doesn’t help a lot. CAT: You get MORE power, and of course is less efficient but it depends on the driver. Mine is the 625hp twin turbo all stock including pipes and I can make up to 7 mpg (I pull fully loaded B-train most of the time.) Very well builded engines and can take a lot of abuse and they sound beautiful. Mine just reached 1 million miles and it’s still pulling pretty good and I treat her like a lady :)
Iam pulling a 2003 Freightliner FL 112 daycab with a C12 caterpillar C-12 430hp engine. I pass these weak truck engines on the highway alot MX13 paccar 😅😅😅😅
@@47rintin1 well, DAF trucks suffer a lot with engine problems, and they use the MX engine from Paccar, I dont know its becuase of the egr or other related stuff, but once my DAF gave up, service said it suffers from turbo pressure problem, injector problem, fuel system failure. I dont know whos fault is that, the company who owned that truck and didnt send it to the service on time, or the manufacturer who makes low budget engines
