I just wanna say I'm enjoying the run and side note..... I was raised in North Canton Ohio, went to hoover high school.... Yes I was raised in the city where the hoover company was started and was based for a great many years. Always weird to hear people talk about hoovers lol.
1) A bit wasteful to use impact hammer always. Some doors and shelves may be opened via crowbar which is cheaper to replace. But considering that eventually you`ll be swimming in resources maybe it is a balance issue and not big deal. 2) Ideal place to repair the car during the run is at the entrance to sector. When you just arrive lights are green. They will stay green until you move couple of meters. Until they are green the sector is not "active" meaning all timers and events will not trigger and you are as safe as in garage. 3) Liberator is very rare and somewhat useful in the early game. Quite expensive to craft early game. It allows you to "steal" parts from vehicles in the zone without scraping them. Use if you find some rare part you can`t or don't want to craft yourself. Single shot is enough to extract the part. 4) Prioritize building matter regenerator in garage. It allows you to put damaged parts and after your next trip they will be healed for free. Helps conserve resources. However not that it repairs only basic damage same as repair putty. Headlights are the perfect candidate to put there as other parts will eventually break beyond repair. 5) Blowtorch is basically a straight upgrade to repair putty. It is more expensive but also much more durable. AFAIK it also has some specific uses (Repairs specific damage types as well as basic) 6) Upgrade station filters the list of available upgrades based on availability of items they cost. So it is recommended to always have at least one of each resource type in garage inventory in order to see all the upgrades you can build. Not sure though if the filter is always on or can be turned off. 7) By Bold damage type they probably mean that for your current tech level the part is broken beyond repair. 8) There actually is an auto-sort function for inventories (Check in keyboard maps). Personally didn't find it much useful as it just sorts them by type. More useful is to have manually made sections for each type and they it is easier to see which item you have much of and which lack. 9) The only use I found for Dumpster pearls is to scrap them in garage`s scrapper which gives you some pretty good resources in return. Maybe there will be more uses in mid to late game.
The explosion after getting the Anker ate the tourists! At 48:37 you run past them, in 48:47 there are gone!😮 I fear those puppets are the remnants of the population of the zone and got changed... It's so, so scary to think about them this way
I keep feeling a compulsion to swap out all the crude parts for proper steel ones, instead of I guess waiting for tier 3 stuffs. though, I think I remember the offroad tires being good?
