Packing my customers orders in real time 📦 & Experimenting with UVDTF For my Glass Tumblers 

For our small business, we have a checkbox at checkout that says 'minimal packaging', and it explains using less plastic and skips the thank you card etc. We've had a lot of repeat customers use it and enjoy the option to save a bit on waste - and it saves us time too! Maybe it would be nice to implement for Katnipp?

Heyyyy! I just wanted to say I was a dye-sub print tech for many years and have worked with quite a few makes and models (Mutoh, Mimaki, etc) - and the Roland was by far my favorite. HOWEVER, all dye-sub printers take daily maintenance and a lot can go wrong very quickly, even with the best machines. This will be a huge investment of money and time for you, so make sure that you have an iron-clad maintenance agreement (you’ll learn to diagnose on your own with time, but especially in the beginning you’ll want that maintenance contract and you’ll want the work done in a timely manner). This is so exciting! I will enjoy reliving my printing days vicariously through you if you do end up springing for it. Rolands are GORGEOUS machines! :D

One of the highlights to my Monday during lunch at work is being able to eat while watching what's going on with Katnipp and the crew! As for orders, yes! I got two wonderful orders that made me incredibly happy and I love each one I receive! I also didn't realize it until this video but in the new calendar for the Bumblebutt and Lilacs, the house is almost identical in terms of its styling to the one I had when I was living at home with my Mom going to school back prior to 2016. I almost started tearing up seeing the similarities in the houses! When the print for that one becomes available, I may just have to get it in every size! Major squee!! So much love to all of Katnipp!!

I use DTF for my keychains, I have a laser to cut the acrylic and then put the DTF onto it on both sides. It's a learning curve for tumblers for sure. Love the calendar. You inspired me to start my own youtube channel this year.

Personally I prefer the sublimation tumblers as the new transfer look like a child has stuck stickers onto the glass rather like a rumbler from the Pound shop or B&M. I would not like to see the white inside whilst drinking. Maybe these would work if they had a resin costing to make them completely smooth and also protect the design from knocks and chipping whereas the sublimation designs are permanent anyway

For the color of your desks for packing station for example maybe you could start of by just putting some table cloth over the top, so you can decide which color suits the best ( white, beige, light pink, etc) without the commitment of the vinyl right away ! And if you really like it you could just change it according to the seasons etc ! ^^

UV DTF is awesome. I use it for a tool i made for making junk journal covers to add the measurements and my brand on them. And I have them tiny it works great. Looking at purchasing a UV printer ourselves. right now we purchase the prints

A cute idea is a custom sticker for each of you so when you each pack you have a sticker. Some people would like to know who packed their order

squeegee before you apply the UVDTF decal, then squeegee again before removing the clear layer.

What filter are you using for your videos? I pove the soft filter

Obviously your call. But for the coasters. If you add your logo on them within the design. Wouldn’t that be enough branding wise? That way it wouldn’t need any packaging

I know this is random but do you (or really anyone reading this) have a good suggestion for a first printer to nake art prints? Again- random bit this would be so helpful as I want to start but not spend a fortune❤

instead of telling people to make a comment in the notes, maybe it would be beneficial to have an opt in button at the end of checkout to say “yes i want all the normal packaging” or “no, please reduce packaging where applicable” ! more people would remember/ see it as an option that way! and just assume no answer is normal packing :)
