vCuda, I use four small Xbox Elite Series 1 paddles on my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. I placed two circular clear silicone bumpers (from Lowe’s) on each back paddle so that my middle fingers rest on them and arch over the front paddles. I can press the front paddles with the arch of my middle fingers or just press them with my middle finger. This setup works great for me. I enjoy watching your videos and commentary. Keep up the great work!

Razer Wolverine Tournament edition is without a doubt the best controller I've ever used. The placement of the extra buttons is just so perfect and right. I by far prefer it over my Elite Series 2. I initially tried the Wolverine Ultimate edition but returned it because the buttons are in such a nonsensical location. Tournament edition is by far superior. Bonus points go to the eXtremeRate LOFTY remap kit (which you slipped into this video a couple of times - nice!) - I've done several of these and they are INCREDIBLE, and very rewarding because you are essentially building it yourself. Little tip for anyone getting the Tournament edition: The joysticks are the same size as Xbox 360 ones were, so if you use stick extenders (i.e. kontrolfreeks), find older ones for XBox 360 controllers and they will fit perfectly.

To sweat in the warzone, hands down, Wolverine Ultimate is the best! It took about 10 days to get used to it coming from an ExtremeRate modded PS4 controller. I literally was on the verge of returning to Razer. But now I could never play with anything else. And yes I use all 6 extra buttons. I use both short sticks and one short control freek galaxy on the right stick. Left trigger full pull to match ADS speeds and right trigger stop active. Thanks for the reviews, they are super helpful.

I’m thinking of getting an elite or razor ultimate controller, which ones mote comfortable? The razor looks like it’s buttons r in rlly awkward positions, and I heard the elite has bad durability so idk

I had to send the Wolverine V2 Chroma with 4 back-buttons back because it threw off my hand positioning on the sticks. Got the PowerA Pro 2, and although paddles feel super weird and make your controller feel like it will break from simply placing it down on the table, in game I get a better position on the sticks. Guess you just need to try all of these out for yourself.

I just got the Razer Wolverine Ultimate and I LOVE IT. It's definitely taking some getting used to since I've never used a pro controller before but it is SO worth it. I am absolutely destroying people in Halo and I don't even need to take my thumbs off my thumbstick thanks to all the extra buttons, and the customization (while a bit clunky and sometimes buggy) allows me to switch between games pretty seamlessly. Thanks for all your advice Cuda!

I use all 4 paddles for every game pretty much, personally I think the paddles are better for single press but for spam and hold it's worse, they need to be worked on a bit or just have the button way be worked on a bit but I need to be able to play with out taking my hands of the sticks it's low key useful

I’ve the Wolverine ultimate, elite series 2, and wolverine V2 chroma. My preferred is the V2 chroma, followed by the wolverine ultimate. I use the elite only when the kids are around because they kick the cable and disconnect the controllers.

The strike pack buttons are perfect for my fingers for spam and comfort. I dont use the mods but I would like to know what controller I can get that has similar feel.

What do you map your 6 wolverine buttons to in fortnite? I have bottom right jump Bottom left build mode switch Pickaxe and pickup/interact above those And nothing but marker on one of the shoulder ones. I edit with L3 and reset with R3 I think I wanna do bottom left edit and L3 be build mode switch but idk my confirm is L2

Hey man, I'm shopping for a new xbox controller. Do you know of any third party ones that have the "impulse triggers" that the official xbox controller has? I play F1 a lot and it makes use of the feature to tell you how much grip you have, what kind of surface you are on, etc. Tahnks.

On the Xbox elite two if you take the old little paddles invert them with them pointing up it works a lot better for using all four paddles

i found if you put a good patch of Black tape over where the paddles connect on the fusion pro it keeps the metal from wearing the plastic, sure the they get loose over long periods of time but most controllers do. not that im defending the metal paddles, just a quick fix if someone is worried about there metal paddles.

I’m using the elite series 2 and have no issues with using all 4 paddles. I honestly think this is the best controller because my fingers naturally land on the paddles perfectly.

I've always been able to use all 4 paddles on both of the Xbox Elite's. I would love to give the Razer Wolverine Ultimate a go because I find the Elite's to be lacking in durability.

My fingers slip off the back buttons on the wolverine easily. I went through a couple iterations of "grip tape" that were either too harsh or the glue didn't last. The thing that worked the best is Kinesio Tape or "KT Tape". It'll stay on the plastic for months at a time, it's not gummy, and since it was designed to deal with wicking moisture it's perfect for gaming. I even put it on my triggers, as long as you run stops, it won't go so far as to jam into the frame.

Well cuda, after using all your videos to make a decision I grabbed a fusion pro a while back, she’s down with a broken back paddle right now, when the company said to mail it in, I ordered an elite 2 with the extended warranty. Did I mess up? Or did I pull a smooth move? Haha. I wanted to go for the razer controller, but something about it didn’t agree with me. I figured why not have 2 pro controllers so when they act like shit and break, which they WILL I’ll rotate the two.

My favorite is a mix between paddles and buttons. The ExtremeRate PS5 4 back buttons mod has 2 paddles closer to the grips and 2 buttons closer to the center of the back. I can still grip the controller really good and have access to everything.

1:10 I’ve gotten so used to four paddles I can use them with ease in any game I play. I at first was also not liking the 4 at once, but as time went on I got used to it and I think that it works perfectly. (Power A Fusion Pro 1)

Im just now getting into controllers that aren't stock i mean ove stuck with stock controllers my entire life and I just got my PowerA Spectra Enhanced controller yesterday and the buttons just feel so good if there was a pro controller with 4 buttons placed how the spectras buttons are placed and how they feel goddamn I will easily take that

The whole thing is the paddles are something your fingers always rest on. But they're always in the way unless you remove them. With the wolverine setup, they are out of the way and when needed, you more 'flick' them than press them.

I have a razor Wolverine ultimate and I'm so disappointed because it does not fit my hand the paddles on the back are too far in other then that the controller is nice, it sucks because it's brand new and just sitting there ,back to using my elite 2

Series Elite 2 Buttons & Triggers Wolverine Tournament Edition Paddles With or without a wire I'd be happy with that. My ONLY complaint about the wolverine is the triggers feel SLIGHTLY squishy and the damn analogue sticks are just fat. Like trying to aim I feel a lot more inaccurate. Just my humble 2cents keep up the good work.

I don't mind having all 4 on my elite s2, I only used 2 on the elite s1 because they were way longer. I've never wanted to get a scuff the paddles look effing stupid.

Love to see you compare the Nintendo Pro Controller to other controllers. I use it on my PC for everything. It’s D-Pad sucks but it’s rumble and controller size feels perfect for me.

I love the buttons on the Nacon Revolution 3. All of them are easily accessible and have a nice click.

Interesting. We should also try the claw grip, used by the pro gamers who use controllers (I think no top pro gamer uses paddles and buttons and modified grips, they just use the standard controllers) coz' I guess that ultimately more direct, unlike the buttons, it has to go through the button to press the actual buttons and levers the same, there is a delay with the length of the lever before it presses the button, but levers look better. Dude paddles on the series 2 feel so comfortable and I can work all 4 paddles perfectly fine. Buttons are so out of the way honestly.

In a game like Warzone where I’m jumping around corners constantly, paddles are better. My fingers are constantly resting on them. I tried the wolverine ultimate and it felt like I was stretching my fingers to hit them, messing up my flow.
