Only retiring in 2018, the man from Derry has divided opinion since his breakout onto the football league in the early noughties. Yet this polarity is not something McCourt actively provoked, that is to say, his nature lay among the Maverick mould that incidentally thrived in previous eras.
There has already been plenty written repeating the same dull narrative of a flawed artist, however, I'd rather not digress into that debate at the moment. Rather, I have attempted to showcase via the limited footage garnered, the gifts of who I believe is among this century's most talented players.
