I think... पद्मावत फिल्म में अलाउद्दीन खिलजी को पूरी तरह विलन नहीं बताया गया है, बल्कि उसके कैरेक्टर को सिर्फ डार्क शेड दिया गया है| फिल्म उसके वहशी होने से ज्यादा उसकी महत्वाकांक्षा पर ज्यादा केंद्रित है | फिल्म मैं ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि वह अपने वहशीपन से नहीं बल्कि अपनी महत्वकांक्षा के लिए पद्मावती को पाना चाहता है.. उसके समलैंगिक चरित्र को भी सिर्फ एक गाने बिंते दिल के lyrics मैं ही समेट दिया गया है.. फिल्म में गोरा बादल के महान इतिहास को सिर्फ एक दृश्य में ही खत्म कर दिया गया है, जबकि गोरा बादल की वीरता के गीत आज भी पूरे राजस्थान में गाए जाते हैं | जानबूझकर राजा रतन के किरदार को प्रभावहीन किया गया है | ऐसा प्रतीत होता है क्या अलाउद्दीन खिलजी की बायोग्राफी चल रही हो | फिल्म में अगर कुछ अच्छा लगा तो वह है अरिजीत सिंह का क्लासिकल और अरेबिक फ्यूजन स्टाइल में गाया गया बिंते दिल और रणवीर सिंह की एक्टिंग |

Sir, one correction here allaudin ghilji is from ghilji dynasty of Delhi sultanate era not from mughal era .Mughal era is come after Delhi sultanate

I can tell the Khilji character has been glorified negatively which makes him the main character and Padmavati and Ratan Singh roles were limited and not fairly projected. Before watching the film- Read history from multiple sources and one would know that how many scenes have been manipulated!'A fictional Bollywood circus with all respect 2 Bollywood hard work, they put 2 entertain a depressed society! See, our blind love for cinema- is more than our love of our mothers, our motherland, and for our culture, let alone history!

I am disappointed after watching this movie. The name of the movie should have been allaudin khilji instead of padmavati as it focuses on him. Shahid and deepika doesn't know how to act. They were mumbling dialogues as if there is an oral exam going on. Only ranveer is upto the mark. Also the hijada malik gafur does his role well. The second half is better. But they have wasted 15 mins on the jauhar scene of climax.

the most expected and awaited scene was the one that let down the most and it was the battle scene of gora and badal. agree that all fight scenes were just pathetic given the budget and the way it was touted as “magnus opus” of bhansali.

Thanks for sharing review....But I personally feel Ranveer has not changed his Body language at all...its mixture of Ram and Bajirao..the way he walks and shouts...And also I disagree with character Of Deepika and Shahid...they did really great job...infact After interval Deepika drived the movie as lead character to rescue Ratan Singh...For Khilji I would credit writers for awesome dialogues...But Shahid and Deepika did something really new from their previous role...confirm by many reviewers.. But still I completely respect all the points u made and also Agree with Gora badal scene bcoz Badal killed 2 to 3 even after he was beheaded

Well the underlying reason behind the controversy might be that Deepika and Ranveer are known as couple to the viewers and hence the rumor of a dream sequence romance between them spread. Bhansali could have done that too using his creative licence but he did not do, so all the controversy is baseless. All the protest against the movie is basically a power show by "Rajpoots." If only people have shown such a determination against other malpractices in our country, we can have a better India.
