I remember that time, I was in my early twenties. I was lucky as well. I eventually left Belfast for Scandinavia in my late twenties. Belfast has never left me. I have a lot of great memories and the people there are special. I still go back now and again to visit family and friends. Some things have changed and some things have not.

Same as myself Edward, left Belfast in 89 aged 18 for London. You're right in regard to "some things have changed and some things have not" it's like parts of the city and the psyche of some of the people have stood still. Old Belfast is still there alive and kicking, blending in with the new. A wee tip for you the next time you're there, jump in a car on a Sunday morning at the crack of dawn and cruise around all of Belfast by yourself and I'll guarantee you, you will see things that you've never seen before. Good luck in Scandinavia. 👍

Guy in it Robert McLiam Wilson wrote the Eureka Street novel which turned into a mini-series of the same name, seems to be working out in Charlie Hebdo now as a journalist.

Seems like the IPLO were complete amateurs and incompetents. Just looked it up and Robert Burns had no involvement with the security services and the IPLO targeted him based on false intelligence that he was.

I think it would take real conviction to preach in Belfast Gods ACTUAL WORD MESSAGE which is LOVE AND ✌ PEACE.People have used Gods word in every conflict apparently throughout history he has been on everyone’s side and he is on everyone’s side because he wants good prosperity for everyone.Man’s greed causes war.

It took 40 years for me to realise,the damage that bronze-age god books like the bible and the quran have done. In both books 'god' said the earth had 4 corners and that on judgement day all the points of light that shine in the night sky (stars) will crash into the earths oceans. How did a god not know the Earth was a sphere and not know the 'points of light' were distant suns, literally stars, with their own planets? Please love your neighbour and treat eachother with respect and love. Love is all we need. Science will lead to world peace but itl take another 3 generations of young people thinking for themselves

This is good and worthwhile work you're doing but maybe calm down with all the graphics over the video, it's pretty distracting. A lot of this stuff could go at the end and some of it isn't needed at all. Not having a go, glad someone is archiving this sort of work.
