Between 1969 and 1999, the world watched in despair as Northern Ireland was wracked by unrest and violence that bordered on civil war. This three-decade period is euphemistically referred to as ‘the Troubles’.
Join me as I unlock and remaster many unseen documentaries on the conflict in the north of Ireland. I am remastering most, fixing the quality of both video and audio to the best of my abilities.
As a child of the troubles and growing up in a family and community at the heart of the conflict , I lived and breathed the conflict.
I will also cover international conflict documentaries where available. I do not condone any violence from any side.

Really the lowest of the low that shipment of equipment from the Whitey Bulger leader IRA Brigade in Boston was such a critical turning point in the UK - NATO occupied 6 counties of North East of Irelland. Many regions could have been liberated. Meaning my family and my life would have been much better, it will be a bad day if I ever met him. He is the sort of motally bankrupt lowlife that kept the so called Republic of Ireland under puppet UK Government rule too. As someone who emigrated to New Zealand and returned to Ireland ,I admire the eloquence in this .We can only hope and pray ,but also enjoy our gift of the spontaneous craic .
Seeing this 50 years later, having lived through this but at a distance its all so terribly sad. Its quite unbelievable that these British Army soldiers were patrolling the semi derelict areas of a British city under the direction of a British government fighting an insurrection against British rule by people who were at least nominally British.
What could have been done in the early 1970’s so Northern Ireland would not slip into a civil war? Appropriate, fair, transparent, effective discussion and resolution of the social, political, welfare issues/problems, (give both sides hope) plus I suggest the UK should have made plans to recede out of Ireland.
If I was the British PM I would have deployed UN peace keepers a mix ie US, German, Australia, Italian, Canadian troops plus started negotiations for the British to recede out of Ireland.

4 Fd Svy Tp RE was a cover name for an SAS unit that operated from the Royal Engineers' base in Castledillon Co, Armagh from 1973 to 1975. The alleged purpose of this unit was to conduct surveillance and assassination operations in the province.
ATLmodK here, I take that back, this has something to do with the IRA. I confused it with another video. Whether it was actual IRA members arrested or just innocent Catholics, the treatment was truly horrible and though I’m not sure what you meant, it might have been things like this that kept the IRA fighting for 30 years.
This channel is incredible! Another enthralling watch, I am always saddened when I remember that these are real people who's lives were destroyed. Many lives destroyed unjustly on both and all sides. No doubt

The narrative should be why was Westminster paying for civilians to be murdered no matter what community affiliation, and why has nobody been held accountable and its never on English news...wait...is that what is being said here and nobody thinks its very newsworthy...crazy.
