It turns out that it is not a Pearl(e) movement, but is instead made in another factory in the same city as the Pearl movements. THis was because of the broo-ha-ha about how unreliable each of those movements were -- that it was essentially a crapshoot as to whether the movement worked, or not. It was there the same clarification was made about the NH34A. Time Module Inc. is a HK-based firm that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Seiko Group Corporation. "Since 2015, it is wholly owned by Seiko Holdings Group. Time Module (H.K.) Sure, Swatch Group owns Omega and ETA, but that doesn't mean the ETA inside of a Swatch is superior to an Omega movement made especially for its own models.

Both are good options and you can’t go wrong with either the; PD-1762 or the PD-1723. Just a matter of what type of watch you’re after really my man 👍👍

I get that mate but I do honestly think they’ve gotten a lot better and this watch as a clear sign of that. I do completely understand your concerns though given their past 👍👍
